Hello, dears!
Today I have some more lovely light photography for you! Instead of a photoshoot at golden hour, I took these in the morning. Sometimes I go outside to feed the rabbits or something and find too much beauty to leave unphotographed, which naturally means I postpone my other plans and take some pictures before the light changes. 🙂
This time, instead of editing my photos as usual, I decided just to let the pictures shine as they are – terrible pun intended. I did edit a few very minimally, but for the most part these are straight out of the camera!
Enjoy the results of me wandering around the yard with a camera in dreamy lighting. 🙂
We’ll start with one of my favorites. Maggie color coordinates very well with the soft, golden light, wouldn’t you say?
AHHH! These sun rays are what convinced me to go back inside for my camera.
I think sun rays make anything look just a little bit magical, even if they’re made on the road when the sun shines through a truck’s exhaust.
Swings make great photos – maybe it’s just because I like swings, but they seem to invite you to step into the picture and use them.
Kickstands are nice inventions, but no one uses them, do they? 😛 Especially younger brothers who have a stump handy anyway.
It’s really neat how diagonal rays of light bring movement and dynamics to an otherwise boring picture.
Foxtails make excellent subjects for backlighting with their fuzzy heads.
SO PRETTYYY! This is a little too bright, but I like that effect. Just a tip – photos always look brighter on camera than off, at least to me.
I haven’t taken pictures of the graveyard in a while, and the last time I did (which you can see here), it was cloudy. I decided to change it up and take some more cheerful shots, if that’s possible with a graveyard…
I like how the edges look vignetted since I took this shot through the rusty fence.
Now we shall move onto the garden, where morning glories are trying to take over. >:/ The blooms ARE quite gorgeous, though! That vibrant purple…
I noticed about three of these tiny spiderwebs clustered together – maybe the web owners were sibling spiders. 😛 But look how tiny, and yet how perfect!
Maggie sniffed around the yard and garden and eventually chased a wild rabbit out of the marigolds! She didn’t catch it, though. No worries. 🙂
Mom already planted some vegetables we’ll harvest in fall, like this broccoli.
My favorite thing about this picture is how the background leaves look edged with glitter.
We shall end with one last photo of part of our lush, overgrown garden. It’s been wonderful to go outside for food this summer!
Ahh, those pictures make me happy. 🙂 I like rainy weather and foggy weather too, but there’s something about early morning or early evening sun that transfigures already beautiful settings into something magical and absolutely worthy of photographing. I hope this post brought some sunshine to your day, no matter what the weather is outside!
Do you have a favorite photo? Are graveyard pictures neat or creepy? And which do you like better – “morning golden hour” or normal golden hour?
Thanks so much for reading, dears, and have a lovely day!
***Allison***
P. S. Photos taken with my Nikon D3400 and a 35mm lens, at least for the most part.
I prefer normal golden hour, but ooh, these were pretty! I think my favorites were of the broccoli. 🙂

I love the mornings! It is crazy hot here, and I’ve been getting up before sunrise on Saturday mornings. I enjoy the peaceful outdoors and having empty streets. And I love seeing the sunrise. I’ve just started taking macro shots and mornings are a wonderful time to take photos! …and anytime at the beach when I’m able to be there 🙂
Thank you for taking me on a beautiful morning stroll around your wonderful home. I love your photos. Just gorgeous! 🙂 ❤

AHH, I just want to step into that first photo and pat Maggie on her adorable fuzzy head and feel the warm sunshine. 😀 XD These are soooo gorgeous! ❤ I think this picture is my favorite:
It seems like you guys have so many neat photography opportunities on your farm – I think I would quite enjoy wandering around all day with my camera. 😛 Also, I think I might prefer evening golden hour to morning, but early morning light does feel kind of… rare or magical, in a way. 🙂 This post did indeed bring some sunshine into my day! *happy nod*

*grins* AWWW. Maggie would have been delighted. XD Thank you SO much, Clara! Ooh yeah, I liked that one too. 🙂
You’re definitely right! If, I mean WHEN you come for a visit, we shall have to explore and take many pictures. 🙂 And YES, I totally agree about lighting! I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂
