I’m excited to share our answers to the questions you asked Sully and I a few posts ago! Since I’ll be on vacation the next two weeks and there were a lot of questions, I’m going to make this a three-part series. I’ll also share pretty photos (and some funny bloopers) from a little anniversary photoshoot we did on my family’s farm. Enjoy these first ten questions and answers! I’m now 23 years old! For my birthday on Monday, Sully and I went for a walk and then went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. It was great, except for the part where I got mild food poisoning or something. Yikes. Anyway, during our golden hour stroll I got some lovely pictures with my aunt’s camera. She’s letting me borrow her old D600 so I can practice for second-shooting a wedding with her in June.

Our family friends the Borns love to host big events and parties at their farm. Recently they put on their famous “Spring Fling” which includes a family obstacle course, crosscut-sawing and doughnut-eating contests, a cupcake-baking competition, barn dancing, and more. I was the “lead photographer” for the event and had so much fun wandering around capturing pictures of laughter, cute kids, and pretty scenery.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember my previous experiments with double-exposure photography here. Double exposure refers to the concept of taking two pictures and merging them. It’s often done for portraits especially, to tell a story or just add an artistic flare.
I’ve been meaning to try it again ever since the aforementioned post and I finally got around to making some more creative portraits. Enjoy some artistic (or maybe just weird) photography experimentation! 🙂

I am super excited for this post: a breathtaking golden hour photoshoot plus a Q&A! I wandered the farm with my camera after I finished hay work a couple days ago and found So. Much. Beauty. The photos reminded me of a similar post I made before I got married.

Happy Good Friday and almost-Easter! I don’t have any deep Easter posts for you this year, just cute springy duckling pictures. Last week Sully and I finally got to visit Aria (my matron-of-honor at my wedding, remember?) and her husband Andrew. It was a 14 hour drive, thus why I hadn’t made it before on my own. But we had a grand adventure of car camping, “icecuum,” fuzzy baby birds, and a photoshoot. Enjoy this small travel journal!

One of my favorite places to take my camera is into the woods. Even in winter there are so many beautiful things to discover, from the tiniest moss florets to the tallest tangled trees. I had so much fun photographing bits of beauty a few weeks ago and wanted to share some with you today.
