15+ Ways to Art Journal {+Journal Tour!}

Hello, dears!

I’ve been looking forward to making this post for… well, I guess over a year! I first started this art journal in February 2019 and finished it May 2020. I haven’t shown you the process of filling it up because it was a surprise! I actually made this as a gift for my friend Aria. I gave it to her the night before her wedding and she loved it and I loved making it and ahh, this project just means so much to me. ❤

I’m not going to show you every page because that would be tremendously long, but I wanted to select a few (relatively speaking) that will hopefully inspire you guys if you’re thinking about journaling for yourself! If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, well, keep reading! 🙂

I hope you enjoy scrolling through these journal spreads and hearing more of the story and ideas behind this book, as well as a list of page ideas you can use in your own journal or sketchbook. Let’s go!

Experiments with Self Portrait Photography

Hello, dears!

Since I’m the only subject that’s always available for photographs, I’ve gotten a lot of practice in taking camera selfies in the past several months. 😉 Since you guys and I both liked the last self-portrait experiment post (see it here!), I decided to go ahead and edit these in some fun ways, including dramatic B&W, muted/understated filters, and more double exposure photos since I loved how they turned out last time!

It feels a little odd to just post a bunch of pictures of my face, but… I hope you enjoy? XD And maybe you can find some inspiration for your own photography/editing. 🙂 Have fun scrolling!

Aria’s Wedding! {Lots of Pictures :)}

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. As you can imagine, I am so, SO excited to be making this post! EEEP. For those of you who don’t know, I recently had the privilege to be in my best friend’s wedding with my sister Megan and oh my goodness, it was amazing, despite all the changes COVID19 made.

This was the first time I’ve been in a wedding, not to mention been a maid-of-honor, and it was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed spending time with the rest of the wedding party and seeing all the beautiful decorations and just the general excitement of it all, although MAN did it make us all exhausted.

I hope you guys enjoy this little “travel journal” post of flowers, dresses, spiders, cameras, friends, hymnals, steamers, and the best memories. Have fun scrolling through the weekend! 🙂

How to Use Macro Extension Tubes on Your DSLR

Hello, dears!

Aria’s wedding was absolutely incredible and I can’t WAIT to post pictures, but I will save that for when she gets back. 🙂 Until then, I thought I’d make a post that’s been requested in the past: a guide on how to use the macro extensions I’ve featured in past posts!

I’ve already done a little review here, so check that out if you haven’t, but today I’m following it up with more practical knowledge, tips, and inspiration to get some beautiful macro photography.

The best thing? This super fun camera upgrade costs less than $10! O.o I’m always amazed because NOTHING camera related costs that little, am I right? XD

Alright, let’s go looking for the small things, shall we? 🙂
