Etcetera #21 {High Bridges, Beach Trips, Sunflowers & Pumpkins}

Hello friends!

It’s time for the last Etcetera post of the year to wrap up all my warm-weather adventures before the Christmas season starts. I have so many pictures to share with you guys! I went on many small adventures these past few months – a fall festival, trips to the art museum and the beach, and beautiful walks through town and country.

Enjoy some of my favorite random unshared photos from the past few months. 🙂

Indoor Photoshoot {Black & White Edition}

Hello, my friends!

When I was taking pictures for the last post, I kept coming across interesting patterns and scenes which would look perfect in black and white. I ended up with too many of those to squeeze into the first post, so I figured I’d collect them all here for you guys. B&W photos are a great way to capture interesting shapes and textures if the colors and lighting aren’t that great (or even if they are). I had to resist making all the photos monochromatic once I saw how nice these ones looked, haha.

Okay, enjoy some low-key photos of random details from around our house!

Etcetera #15 {Doughnut Making, a Spring Festival, and Old Hotels}

Hello, my friends!

Get ready for a LOT of pictures today because I haven’t done one of these miscellaneous photography posts in five months! I still haven’t shared small adventures from way back in December, like making doughnuts and going on a rather spontaneous road-trip. Not to mention more recent events like a spring festival our friends put on with barn dancing and competitions and lots of fun memories. And, of course, plenty of pretty nature and landscape photos as usual. 🙂

Enjoy this mixed-up collections of moments from the past half year!

Creek Adventures, Terrible Puns, and a Marvelous Weekend

Hello, dears!

Last weekend was WONDERFUL because I got to see my best friend! 😀 Aria just got married (joy!) and moved fifteen hours away from me (sadness…). But recently she came to visit us with her husband Andrew, and Andrew’s best friend, Fleet. It brought back so many memories, like her proposal/engagement, her wedding, and the first time she visited our farm in 2018.

We had a blast exploring the farm, building a dam in the creek, making too much food, finding strange creatures, etc. Enjoy some of my favorite pictures!

Light & Shadow {Experiments in Indoor Photography}

Hello, dears!

I had so much fun with the pictures for this post! Usually I just take photos of pretty things, but this time I pushed myself to create photos that tell stories rather than just show what’s already there. Over the past week or so, I’ve been finding interesting patterns of light and shadow around golden hour and incorporating them in my photos. We live in an old farmhouse with big windows that make great photo opportunities, but you can also use any sort of windows, blinds, lamps, and so on.

Light and shadows are two (free!) things to be happy about, so I think they’re worth noticing. 😉 I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!

Chains, Goats, & Flower Gardens {Golden Hour Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

How’s that for a random title? I was looking for something like, “A Post Where I Wander Around the Yard and Take Photos of Lots of Random Things at Golden Hour,” but that would be a tad long. It would have been helpfully explanatory, however, since that’s what this post is about. 😉

Walking around and taking pictures is honestly one of my favorite things. It’s so refreshing, plus I get to be creative at the same time. ❤ So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy taking this evening walk with me! 🙂

Aria’s Wedding! {Lots of Pictures :)}

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. As you can imagine, I am so, SO excited to be making this post! EEEP. For those of you who don’t know, I recently had the privilege to be in my best friend’s wedding with my sister Megan and oh my goodness, it was amazing, despite all the changes COVID19 made.

This was the first time I’ve been in a wedding, not to mention been a maid-of-honor, and it was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed spending time with the rest of the wedding party and seeing all the beautiful decorations and just the general excitement of it all, although MAN did it make us all exhausted.

I hope you guys enjoy this little “travel journal” post of flowers, dresses, spiders, cameras, friends, hymnals, steamers, and the best memories. Have fun scrolling through the weekend! 🙂
