It was the kind of evening where all you have to do is point your camera and click the shutter to create a masterpiece.
My family hosted a church potluck in perfect May weather, and knowing we’d be right next to my mom’s flower garden, I wisely brought my camera along. I am so glad I did, because this ended up being one of my favorite nature photoshoots in a while!

I know I just made a garden post, but I took my camera to my family’s house the other day and couldn’t resist sharing some of the beautiful floral goodness from my mom’s garden. Gotta get in alllll the flowers before fall is truly upon us, right?
Taking flower pictures at golden hour is like my favorite type of photography ever. In such a pretty setting, my job is basically “have a nice camera and point it at pretty things.” So easy and relaxing. Plus it yields such beautiful results!

Mom got so excited for our garden this year that she bought at least 75 different kinds of seeds. O.o That includes a LOT of flowers. So since it’s almost summer and I love floral photography and we have plenty of beauty to share, I thought I’d take some pretty flower pictures for you guys!

I’m back with the promised golden hour photoshoot today! My sister Megan received a beautiful sunflower shirt for review from this shop, so of course we had to get a bunch of pictures for her post. (Also I literally just realized I copied her title after I finished writing the post. :’D ) We had fun finding different photo locations and attempting to think of different poses, heh heh. These kinds of posts are some of my favorite to make, as you might know if you’ve been around here a while. 😉 Today I have a bunch of pretty nature photography for you, including butterflies, flowers, and raindrops found in our garden.
I took these photos the day after a glorious, answer-to-prayer rain finally came to end a summer drought. When you’re a farmer whose main key to success (the right weather) is totally out of your control, it teaches you dependence on God like nothing else, and also makes you so excited about rain that you’re riveted to the window, the weather app, and the rain gauge like they’re the most suspenseful movie ever. 😛
Everything was so beautiful and fresh the next day that I kinda just dropped everything and took a bunch of pictures. XD I hope you enjoy the results!
