Sophia Joy {7 Months}

Ready for an adorable spring photoshoot? I took her outside to get some pictures in front of a forsythia bush in our backyard, and it turned out soooo pretty. Enjoy these cute shots and a little update on our favorite chub friend!

Sophia the Spring Princess!

The crown didn’t stay on for long, but it was adorable while it lasted.

Then we turned her into a cute sweater bear. I love these photos so much.

It wasn’t long before the forsythia found its way to her mouth. I didn’t let her chew it for long, don’t worry. No babies were harmed during the making of this photoshoot. 😉

Fascination! Entrancement! It’s so cute to watch her intense focus as she attempts to pick up and maneuver things. Her fine motor skills are growing by the day.

It’s like I told her “Okay Sophia, hold the forsythia branch and look down at it with a soft smile like you love it.” She’s a pro model already!

She’s looking so much older these days with her expressions and interactions.

A moment for the little tongue and chubby cheeks. ❤

Possibly my favorite from the entire shoot. THE TINY TEETH. THE FUZZY HAIR. THE HAPPY GRIN.

It’s hard to capture on camera, but I think she has a cowlick because one sprig of her hair always sticks up in the back. It makes me happy.

We’ll end with a bright-eyed headshot. Can’t you tell how much older and bigger she’s getting from this one?

We’ll end with a couple of photos from this month that I couldn’t bear to leave out, like this ADORABLE DOLL BABY PICTURE OH MY. I put this dress on her for the first time and was greatly saddened to find out that will also be the last time she wears it – her chubby little torso and arms hardly fit. I thought it was siz 12M but it was 6-9 months, which she’ll grow out of before too long here.

This month has really developed her little personality (no, her big personality!). She’s spunky, bouncy, oh-so-determined, and full of strong emotions she’s not afraid to let people see. It’s been a rather exhausting month sleep-wise; she is easily overtired and that never goes well. Also her top two teeth are about to poke through, so that definitely contributes to fussiness. She is so ready to move and will probably be crawling or scooting her soon. She’s also now 18 1/2 pounds!

She is a force to be reckoned with. Once I left her with my mom for the day, and she absolutely REFUSED to drink a bottle. All she ate for 9 hours was a tiny bit of applesauce with milk. O.o But she can also be the sweetest little charmer you ever did see: full of giggles, happy shrieks, and the most contagious grins; learning funny little games and skills (like blowing big drool bubbles, haha); sharing her profound babbles and loud growls; and exploring everything with her miniature fingers and tongue.

We love you Sophia! Here’s to another month of our favorite little girl.

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

  2. 7 months old already?!? That was fast!

Such a lovely photoshoot of Sophia! Great idea for the forsythia crown. Haha, she really did look like she was given instructions on how to hold and look at it. 🙂

That dress!!!! Aww, I know! It’s bittersweet when you see how much a baby has grown out of certain clothes.

Love the collection of photos at the end- the one with her in the basket is a favorite. It reminds me of putting my baby (now 19 year-old!) brother in a basket or box too. 😉 And Sophia sitting in her cute blue outfit holding the giraffe is just the sweetest!!!!

Thank you for sharing, Allison! I know it’s been a tiring month, so I’m glad you have her smiling pictures to look back on. 🙂 God bless you, dear friend!

    1. She doesn’t stop growing up. ❤️
Haha I love that memory! How sweet. I put her in the washbasket so she could “help” me switch over laundry one time. 🙂 Yes I love that picture too!

Aww thanks for the kind words. Yes, I love taking these pictures to remember all the sweetness. ❤️
