100 Questions to Ask Your Pen Pal

Hello, dears!

I’m super excited for this post! (How unusual. 😛 ) One of my readers recently requested I write about pen pal questions, so here we are. Asking/answering questions in letters (or in life!) helps you connect with and get to know someone better, plus, pro tip: including questions is one secret to making your letters a lot longer and more interesting. 😉 For some of my pen pals, we insert a list of questions in the letter, and for others, we just ask questions as they come up about whatever subject we’re on.

Today I’m going to give you a ginormous list of 100 questions to ask your pen pal – some serious, some funny, all across a variety of topics and categories. If you’re at a loss for what to write, try some of these! I’ll also stick in a little happy mail/envelope art inspo along the way. 😉 Alright, let’s do this!

15+ Ways to Art Journal {+Journal Tour!}

Hello, dears!

I’ve been looking forward to making this post for… well, I guess over a year! I first started this art journal in February 2019 and finished it May 2020. I haven’t shown you the process of filling it up because it was a surprise! I actually made this as a gift for my friend Aria. I gave it to her the night before her wedding and she loved it and I loved making it and ahh, this project just means so much to me. ❤

I’m not going to show you every page because that would be tremendously long, but I wanted to select a few (relatively speaking) that will hopefully inspire you guys if you’re thinking about journaling for yourself! If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, well, keep reading! 🙂

I hope you enjoy scrolling through these journal spreads and hearing more of the story and ideas behind this book, as well as a list of page ideas you can use in your own journal or sketchbook. Let’s go!

Aria’s Wedding! {Lots of Pictures :)}

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. As you can imagine, I am so, SO excited to be making this post! EEEP. For those of you who don’t know, I recently had the privilege to be in my best friend’s wedding with my sister Megan and oh my goodness, it was amazing, despite all the changes COVID19 made.

This was the first time I’ve been in a wedding, not to mention been a maid-of-honor, and it was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed spending time with the rest of the wedding party and seeing all the beautiful decorations and just the general excitement of it all, although MAN did it make us all exhausted.

I hope you guys enjoy this little “travel journal” post of flowers, dresses, spiders, cameras, friends, hymnals, steamers, and the best memories. Have fun scrolling through the weekend! 🙂

Hello, dears!

Welcome back to another round of random photos where I raid my File Explorer and have fun with editing styles. On the menu for today is Nellie the Cutest Goat, our church barn dance (IT WAS AMAZING), people pictures, and vacuums and muffin tins. 😀

Buckle up because we have a BUNCH of photos to get to today. I got tired of narrowing it down any further, so enjoy what is basically a mashup of a bunch of little posts! Here we go!

15 Stuck at Home Boredom Busters

Hello, dears!

Are you guys self-quarantined? And are you getting bored of it yet?

Phones and computers are fun for a while, but I hope that’s not all we’ll do for weeks or months while we’re stuck inside! Today I’ve brainstormed some ideas of interesting activities that don’t require public places, large amounts of people, or social media (except this blog 😛 ).

I’m usually rather disappointed with the boredom buster lists on Pinterest: they’re often just the obvious “read a book” or specific little crafts which don’t last long. Which is nice, but I feel like we all know those already… So hopefully you find a few new or at least less commonly thought of ideas here to keep you and your family from going stir-crazy. Make the best use of this unexpected time to create memories and beautiful things and maybe conquer your TBR list instead of scrolling your phone for 8 weeks! 😉

Alright, let’s go bust some boredom!

Explore with Me 004 | Nature Art

Hello, dears!

Phew, I’ve been thinking about this post for months, so I’m quite happy to finally be making it! This might be my favorite idea so far in this series. *rubs hands*

In case you’re wondering, I started this series to motivate myself (and you!) to get outside and have something interesting unique or creative to do out there. 😉 So I take you with me on a walk around our farm, adding in a little twist or art/photography prompt that you can try too, where you live.

Today we’re going to collect bits and pieces of nature and arrange them into beautiful art! If you love being creative but don’t really consider yourself an artist, I think you’re going to enjoy this one. 🙂

Let’s go!

Sketchbook Tour February 2020

Hello, dears!

Hurrah, I’ve finished a sketchbook! This one took me about five months to complete, so yeah… it’s been a while since my last sketchbook tour. 😉 I practiced a lot of portraits and watercolor painting in here and made some pieces I’m really proud of as well as some pages I’m not so pleased with. XD And you guys get to see it all!

So. *rubs hands* Are you ready for some art inspiration?

Today I’ll be showing you a few of my favorite pages from this sketchbook, plus a flip-through video and some of my recent art products. 🙂 Ready? Set, go!

Etcetera #11

Hello, dears!

Yikes. I haven’t done an “etcetera” post in three months – my computer is about to burst with random photos! I went through these again and again and eventually couldn’t bear to narrow them down anymore, so prepare for the biggest photo dump I’ve posted on here in a while. O.o This may require a cup of hot something or a snack, if you’re that kind of person. 😉

Anyway, I’m rather excited about this mish-mashed collection of cute pups, jelly beans, self portraits, foggy photography, tangled plants, adventures, and aesthetic pictures. 🙂 I’ll keep my captions to a minimum so you can just scroll and enjoy.

(Also happy Valentine’s day; I almost forgot. XD) Let’s do this!
