Fields & Forests Sisters Photoshoot {Part 2}

Part two of last week’s sisters photoshoot includes blurry smiles, a pocket full of posies, a forest-made flower crown, and the fluffy vine that’s eating our porch. 😛 It also includes, you know, Megan and I – we’re the sisters part of the sisters photoshoot thing.

As always, Megan took the photos of me and I took the photos of her as well as editing all the pictures you see in this post. Alright, that should be enough information to get started. Let’s… get started!

Fields & Forests Sisters Photoshoot {Part 1}

Hello, my friends!

Remember sisters photoshoots? It’s only been, like… a year since we did one! 😛 Megan and I finally got around to taking more portraits and I’m quite pleased with how they turned out. As usual, Megan took all the pictures of me and I took all the pictures of her + edited all the photos I used. We got so many good ones that I decided to post the photoshoot in two parts. This is mostly the “fields” portion. Stay tuned for part 2 next week with some forest pictures! 🙂

I hope you guys enjoy scrolling through these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Corn Field Harvesting

Hello, dears!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I don’t know if I did because I’m scheduling this post ahead of time, hehe. Anyway, in keeping with late-November themes of gratitude and harvest, I have some neat farm photography for you today. Several weeks ago I drove out to the field my dad and brothers were harvesting and got some lovely shots in the fading light. ❤

Ready for some golden hour photos and farm trivia? 😀

Sunbeams & Hay Bales

Hello, dears!

Yay, I finally get to share some of my favorite recent photos! Our cousins from Canada stayed at our house over New Years and we had many lovely adventures with them that will have to last us until we see them again. 🙂

If kids (and sometimes) adults come over to our house and want to go outside, there’s a high chance we’ll take you to 1) the hay barn (basically an enormous, extremely dusty playground), or 2) one of the streams (which can provide hours of entertainment as well). As a bonus, they both make for some pretty fun pictures!

Enjoy this collection of sunbeams and hay bales and warm winter adventures!

Cousins, Pools, and Ice Cream Spills

Hello, dears!

We recently took a trip to our old farm for several events, including attending a funeral, swimming, and going out to eat. I didn’t take pictures of the first, but I did of the other two. 😉 If you like swimming, ice cream, or summer adventures, you might enjoy this post! I’d love to hear about what summer adventures you go on after you finish!

And since that’s apparently all the intro this thing needs, let’s get straight into the post. 😉

Etcetera #8

Hello, dears!

Oh my, it has been MONTHS since my last “etcetera” post! My extra photos have been piling up and nagging me like an itch in the back of my mind, so I finally sat down and sorted them all out for my blog. 😉 I hope you enjoy these many random pictures ranging from lightning to rope swings to disgruntled cats. Have fun browsing!

Hay Days

Hello, dears!

By the time May rolls around, the orchard grass and fescue are getting tall and ripe in the hayfields, ready for the first harvest of the season. I took these photos of my dad and brother baling a field a little while ago, and thought you guys might like to see some behind-the-scenes (and some picturesque farm landscapes 😛 )! I don’t usually photograph tractors or machinery that much, but it was fun for different. 🙂

Enjoy!

Fields & Fences {Sister’s Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

A couple of weeks ago, I did a senior photoshoot for a friend of a friend’s son (well THAT was confusing), and practiced the day before with this little mini shoot of my youngest sister. 😀 Some of these poses worked better for a senior guy than a little girl, obviously, but she was the only volunteer, so I just went with it anyway. XD

Even though I didn’t use all the poses and locations in the real shoot, we had a lot of fun walking around the farm at golden hour and taking a bunch of photos. I hope you enjoy a sampling of the result!

A Flock of Feathers

Hello, dears!

On Easter weekend, we finally did it. We brought back seven hens to start a little flock at our farm. We’ve been enjoying our break from the poultry houses we owned at our old farm, but we decided seven chickens wouldn’t be that much work, and we go through about three dozen eggs a week, so… yeah, they will come in handy. 😉

All the hens are pretty young, some in the pullet stage and some almost ready to lay, so we haven’t gotten any eggs yet. But it’s been fun taming them and watching them… and taking pictures. 😉 They’re so much prettier and nicer than the boring old broiler-breeders we had at our poultry houses, ha ha!

I hope you enjoy meeting our new “pets,” my friends!
