Etcetera #13 {Skyscapes, Self-Portraits, Mysterious Feathers, and Inflatable Pineapples}

Hello, dears!

I’m finally back with a collection of the random photos I’ve acquired since my last Etcetera post! πŸ˜€ Some of the pictures for today include vibrant sunsets, undignified cats, friends’ engagement photos, a baby turtle I rescued, my brother playing drums, and a large collection of paper butterflies.

I’m never quite sure what I hope to accomplish with these posts, but if you’re interested in pretty photos or hearing random bits about a farm girl’s life, mayhaps you will enjoy this scrapbooky collection. πŸ™‚ There’s only one way to find out, isn’t there? So, onwards! To the pictures!

Light & Shadow {Experiments in Indoor Photography}

Hello, dears!

I had so much fun with the pictures for this post! Usually I justΒ take photos of pretty things, but this time I pushed myself to create photos that tell stories rather than just show what’s already there. Over the past week or so, I’ve been finding interesting patterns of light and shadow around golden hour and incorporating them in my photos. We live in an old farmhouse with big windows that make great photo opportunities, but you can also use any sort of windows, blinds, lamps, and so on.

Light and shadows are two (free!) things to be happy about, so I think they’re worth noticing. πŸ˜‰ I hope you guys enjoy these pictures!

Experiments with Self Portrait Photography

Hello, dears!

Since I’m the only subject that’s always available for photographs, I’ve gotten a lot of practice in taking camera selfies in the past several months. πŸ˜‰ Since you guys and I both liked the last self-portrait experiment post (see it here!), I decided to go ahead and edit these in some fun ways, including dramatic B&W, muted/understated filters, and more double exposure photos since I loved how they turned out last time!

It feels a little odd to just post a bunch of pictures of my face, but… I hope you enjoy? XD And maybe you can find some inspiration for your own photography/editing. πŸ™‚ Have fun scrolling!

Etcetera #11

Hello, dears!

Yikes. I haven’t done an “etcetera” post in three months – my computer is about to burst with random photos! I went through these again and again and eventually couldn’t bear to narrow them down anymore, so prepare for the biggest photo dump I’ve posted on here in a while. O.o This may require a cup of hot something or a snack, if you’re that kind of person. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, I’m rather excited about this mish-mashed collection of cute pups, jelly beans, self portraits, foggy photography, tangled plants, adventures, and aesthetic pictures. πŸ™‚ I’ll keep my captions to a minimum so you can just scroll and enjoy.

(Also happy Valentine’s day; I almost forgot. XD) Let’s do this!

A Collection of Fall Portraits

Hello, dears!

I just spent a lovely weekend at a women’s retreat with my church! And now that I have internet again, I’m back with some snippets of various fall photoshoots I’ve done in the past month or so. πŸ™‚

Also, I’m also planning an exciting post coming up this Friday (which may or may not involve a giveaway πŸ˜‰ ), so stay tuned for that!

Ahem. But now, let’s get into those photos…

Double Exposure + Experimenting with Self Portraits

Hello, dears!

I had so much fun making this post and editing the pictures for today! A few weeks ago, I spent a while practicing self portrait photography because I found a spot of beautiful lighting in our house and wanted to use it somehow. πŸ˜› I went a little overboard with the editing, ending up with some pretty and unique double exposures and black and white photos.

I hope you enjoy these experiments, and maybe get some inspiration for creative ways to edit portraits (your own or of others)!
