Hello, dears!
It’s cloudy out my window right now, but it’s also GREEN. Spring is springing where I live, and I, not surprisingly, have thusly taken many photos in the past weeks. I’ve ended up with quite a few flower photos that are too pieced-up for their own post and too overwhelming for an Etcetera post, so I shall dump them on you here. 🙂
If you’re in need of a little color and spring joy today, have some pretty photos! I hope you enjoy. ❤
We’ll get to the sunny ones first, but I wanted to start with these delightfully foggy redbud photos.
Other than a perfect sunny day, fog might be my favorite weather. I can’t explain it, exactly… it just makes me happy. 🙂 I hope these pictures make you smile too!
I don’t really like shooting pictures on cloudy days because the colors are flat, but the fog somehow provided a perfectly diffused white light that I think looks marvelous with the pink blooms!
One of my family members (I don’t know who) won this birdfeeder at a Farm Bureau meeting or something. 😛 It has since fed many birds.
In case you don’t know from experience, self-timer portraits are rather difficult, especially when your camera is perched in a tree rather than a tripod. O.o But I actually like how I’m almost hidden here.
There we go! I found a better spot, and… apparently still wanted to be hidden. XD It’s hard for me to have a natural expression when I’m not smiling at anyone beyond the camera, you know? I love how well the colors coordinate in this one. ❤
I played around a lot with blur this time, experimenting with the best angles and frames to get that soft pink haze. I’ve taken plenty of clear redbud pictures (in this post, for instance), so I had to mix it up. 😉
Eeep, I love the simplicity of this one! It would make a great computer wallpaper for someone with lots of shortcuts to fill that white space. 😛 (By the way, please feel free to make any of my blog photos into your phone or computer’s wallpaper! But I own these photos so don’t, like, sell them or plagiarize them.)
Narnia in spring. 😀 Heh, I love this lampstand.
That’s the end of the first mini photoshoot! Next up are a few single photos taken about our farm. I found this pear tree in bloom on a recent Sunday walk with my family.
These tiny flowers are EVERYWHERE in the woods! Even in the ugly, brushy spots – they look like white confetti scattered over the ground. I think they’re called spring beauties, but please correct me if I’m wrong. 😉
Carmen and I went outside to pick this speedwell “bowl bouquet” one day. I used to love doing this when I was younger, and it was still quite fun! Picking just the blossoms to put in water highlights even tiny weed flowers that would look meh in a normal bouquet. A good boredom buster. 🙂
One of the wheat fields looks purple and white in places because of all the flowers! It reminded me of this sisters photoshoot. Sadly, we didn’t do one of those this time, but at least Maggie posed for me. 😉
I came back on a sunnier day to enjoy the other side of the field, where the white flowers grew, being careful not to tread on any bees with my bare feet. 😉
As you can see, the flowers didn’t cover the whole field by any means, but there was a lovely island in the middle that made for some good pictures. 😉
This photo makes me happy every time. 😀 It’s so SPRINGY! Or summery, maybe! It felt like summer that day – I think it was in the 80s. O.o
I love this one too! Ahhh. If you ever get a chance to lay in some flowers and look up at the sky for a while, I highly recommend it. 🙂
I attempted to get a picture of myself from above, but my arms weren’t quite long enough. 😛 And the stems threw weird shadows on my face anyway. But it was fun.
AHH. Photos like this almost make me feel the sunshine. 🙂 🙂
This DOES look like summer, doesn’t it?
*happy sigh* I hope these pictures brightened your day a little, my friends! If you get a chance to go outside in nice weather (or even in bleh weather), you should take it. It lifts your spirits. *nods*
Which photo(s) did you like best? What is your favorite kind of weather? Does it feel like spring where you live?
Thanks so much for reading, dears, and have a lovely day!

Honestly, everything around here is incredibly gray still. Our redbuds haven’t bloomed either, and the ornamental cherry has just finally really started.

Okay, WHAT? If I’d look outside I’d see snow 😂 There’s no flowers/green grass here!
The pictures were very beautiful though, and I enjoyed seeing them! 😁

These are so gorgeous!! I love the redbuds the best. It’s definitely not spring weather yet where I live up north. It snowed last night 😭. But thank you for bringing some spring sunshine to those who don’t have it yet!!

Thank youu! I like those best too. OH NO HOW TRAGIC. Heh. I’m a little sad we didn’t get any snow this season, but I’m glad it’s spring now. 😉 My pleasure, dear!

I LOVED the first few, especially the ones with the lamp post! So pretty! Unfortunately, it’s not spring here…at all. It’s 25 degrees out, with lots of tired snow and mud. But you can FEEL it coming, and it’s wonderful! After seeing these pictures I’m even more excited!

Ahh, thank you! Oh NOO, that’s awful. But I agree, the feeling of spring about to burst is thrilling! I’m glad this post could make your excited. 🙂

This is such a pleasant post, Allison. I love that you pause to enjoy the beauty of nature. I especially loved the last one; it reminds me of lazy afternoons in a park during summer. It’s been gloomy a gloomy day in Delaware, longing to soak in some bright Sun soon, and probably lay on a bed of flowers 🙂

Why thank you, dear! I like that one too. I hope for you that the sun comes out soon and you can do just that. 😀

We were having a warm couple of weeks and it was getting me excited, but yesterday it snowed a couple of inches where we live. I can’t say I’m surprised. We’ll get there. 😉

Well shucks. That’s the spirit, though! One of my favorite things about springtime is… it always comes. Every year. 🙂

The redbud pics are my favorite. Especially the color-coordinating one. 🙂 My favorite spring/summer weather would be a nice sunny day with a lot of huge cumulus clouds. I’ll take a foggy morning any time of the year, though. Where I am, the weather is feeling fairly spring-ish, but the flowers haven’t bloomed quite yet. There’s plenty of moss for me to photograph, though, so I’m happy. 😀

Thank you, dear! Mine too, hee hee. Oohhh yes, that sounds lovely. And cumulus clouds are the best. They make me want to paint them or photograph them. 😛 But yes, fog is lovely! And moss is absolutely marvelous, so yay for you! 😀

I wish it was dry enough to lay on the grass here. Yesterday would’ve been lovely for doing it. (if I hadn’t been so busy rearranging my room, making dinner, and zipping through an E-ARC)

Ugh I know; since I posted this we’ve gotten so much rain! But then again, rain is just a different kind of beauty. Ha ha, well it sounds like you had a productive day even without laying in the grass. Maybe tomorrow. 🙂
