Hello friends!
Last weekend our friends hosted their annual fall festival and, as usual, I got to be one of the event photographers! The day was filled with family competitions, the fanciest pies, bonfires, dancing, and apples + pumpkins. Enjoy some snapshots from this fun day!

My sister Megan did all the beautiful lettering on various chalkboard signs around the event. I thought I’d start with this picture so you can get an idea of what the day held.

They set up this neat apple slingshot which the kids enjoyed quite a lot. I myself enjoyed the apples by eating one rather than slinging it, heh.

Isn’t that mushroom hat/costume epic? And I love Carmen’s expression in the second picture.

Jeff and Kaleb played an intense game of tetherball. Megan jammed her thumb severely when she played and we all agreed it was quite a dangerous, if fun, game.

They had a little concessions stand with cotton candy, caramel apples, and popcorn. I didn’t buy any but it all looked tasty!

The pumpkin-decorating station was a hit as well. This is one of my favorite pictures from the day – so peaceful and pretty and fall-ish. 🙂

They once again hosted family tug-of-war competitions which are always amusing to watch. Isn’t this so cute?

This year they replaced the wood-splitting contest with a haybale toss competition. I had to enter since that’s literally what I do for my (part time) job, and I did win in my category, but not very impressively. XD Everyone’s action shots looked quite impressive though, haha!

The haybale-ride tractor was a popular spectating place for the various competitions.

I love this picture! Something about it almost seems vintage??

AHH THE ADORABLENESS.

As a photographer, I got a free pass to basically wherever I wanted to go – including a sneak peek at the pie selection as they were being judged. Man, the pies were incredible! That blueberry pie literally has the numbers of pi all around the crust. O.o We got to enjoy them for dessert when supper was served.

After supper, they started a bonfire and we sang a few songs + enjoyed the pretty sky. It was actually quite a hot day for the end of October, but the fire was still festive.

And of course the day ended with dancing. Look at the pretty string lights and cozy barn!

I love watching people have fun with barn dancing. So much joy (and sometimes amused confusion, haha).

Taken during the “Heel Toe Polka.” 😉

A couple of the pumpkins from the aforementioned decorating table being the audience.

Awfully grainy photo, but I couldn’t resist adding one picture of my husband. XD Sully spent some time outside talking to Carmen’s friends and sporting a flower they picked for his hair and the pie slice + cow face Megan and I painted on his face, hehe. He is much loved.

We’ll end with another of my favorite shots from the day, featuring the stunning moon over the warm and cozy barn. So lovely.

Could you feel the fun and festivities from the pictures? 🙂 I hope you enjoyed scrolling through that selection.
Which of the Fall Fest activities would you enjoy most?
Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

Hi Allison!
I don’t celebrate Halloween or attend fall festivals. But that looked like fun activities! And those pies!!! My favorite is apple. 🙂
That’s a nice picture of the dancing with the moon shining overhead!
God bless,
Valentine
