Hello friends!
As the first post of the new year, I’m thrilled to bring you my favorite photos from Megan and Harrison’s engagement photoshoot! I had so much fun photographing my sister and her new fiancé, especially because they are SO CUTE and photogenic, oh my! I kept internally squealing over these photos as I edited them – they turned out that good. ❤
Enjoy this happy photoshoot!

We took all of these pictures on my family’s farm, starting by a creek that overflowed in pretty little waterfalls. Reaching these specific rocks (and not falling into the water while taking pictures) was a bit tricky, but we managed without anyone falling in.

Of course we have to have a shot of Harrison’s beautiful ring choice. I like this slightly zoomed-out one ’cause you can see their hands in it too. 🙂

Ahhh Megan is so pretty! I had her fix her hair after this picture but ended up liking it fallen over her face better when I saw the pictures. And the forest bokeh!

I know this picture is basically the same but I love the black and white version so much too; I had to include both. When I edited this picture I kept thinking, “my sister is all grown up, *sniff*.” Hehe.

Oooooohhh okay these are some of the most artistic photos I’ve taken recently. Sully said they look like movie covers – you know? The right one with Pepper in the middle looks super cute – you’d never guess we were all mad at her for interrupting our photoshoot and trying to get her her to go home.

Couldn’t resist a fun silhouette shot!

I really have a weakness for black and white portrait shots… they make a picture feel even more precious and full of story. ❤

Aww, this one is so sweet.

I love the authentic smiles here. One of my favorite things to capture!

Hehe I had to get a picture of Megan carrying her boots and walking with muddy bare feet instead. One of her trademarks.

A large, pleasant rock that was cute for pictures and precarious to get off of. Despite appearances, Harrison got Megan safely down onto the ground.

Megan and I both really like this one despite the blurriness. It’s very documentary-photography-style which she loves and I do too!

Oooh yes, the pond ones are so pretty! It was mostly cloudy but the sun glowed through every now and then, just enough to get some soft golden hour shots.

Megan and I both agreed we needed to implement one of her signature yellow blankets in this photoshoot. She gave one to Harrison too so now it’s kinda their thing. 😀

I like the soft gradient of the water behind them here.

This is one of the blurrier piggyback photos I got, but their genuine grins are just too good to pass up! Hehe Harrison looks so happy. He decided engagement photoshoots were pretty fun – and way better than family photoshoots. Hehe.

Oooohhhh this one is so pretty. I LOVE the golden glow, ahh!

Another cinematic shot. *heart eyes*

I am so grateful to have access to my family’s farm for all of these gorgeous photo locations! I mean…!

We drove over to get pictures by the little white shed where they’re planning to have their reception, but I snagged a few photos by the fencerow first. The magical soft colors in the background turned out just how I hoped. I love the film style of this one!

Guys I just can’t get over these pictures! SO CUTE AND PRETTY.

Hahahaha so Megan wanted to try this one pose she’d seen online, but it was VERY difficult to keep her balance, and caused great amounts of laughter, as seen in the first photo. We did eventually get one mostly-normal-looking photo… mostly normal. 😛

We shall end with another blurry black and white. I wanted to get some pictures with my family’s house in the background: Harrison does professional Christmas lighting, and helped us light the house for Mom’s birthday. Megan asked if they could run, and I said GO FOR IT.

I hope these photos brought you as much joy as they bring me. 🙂 I am so, SO happy for Megan and Harrison. They are two of my favorite people and I’m thrilled for them to begin this journey with each other. Stay tuned for more lovely wedding and bridal shower content later this year! 😀
Which photo(s) did you like best?
Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

So beautiful! Though not married, I’ve always loved weddings and celebrating a friend’s engagement. I teared up viewing these precious photos. The love they have for each other is beautiful to see and you captured it so well, Allison! One of my favorites is Harrison cradling Megan.
I can definitely see the similarities with you and Sully, both in face as well as your bond of love. Such a picture of how Christ loves His bride!

That is such a sweet comment, aww. I know, it was crazy taking photos of my sister this time at such an important, grown-up season of her life after all the sister photoshoots we did together when we were younger.
Thanks for the beautiful wishes for them and for reading my blog!
