Last weekend my sister Megan and my SILs threw me a lovely baby shower! It was filled with lovely friends and family, fun snacks, and cute decorations. Enjoy these pictures from a special day. ❤

Mom graciously let Megan use her beautiful house for the party. It made me so happy to see everyone gathered in the Great Room. ❤

Once everyone got there, we started with this adorable berry-themed snack bar in the dining room.

I LOVE fruit, so of course this was perfect: assorted berries, berry dip with graham crackers, berry muffins, and berry cake.

My sister Carmen made the cake. So beautiful and tasty with berry filling inside too.

Oh, and for the drinks there was berry punch and berry-infused water. Yum!

What a cute, unique theme for a baby girl shower, right?

They also decorated with nostalgic children’s books from Mom’s library. So fun to see them all set out again and remember them from my own childhood. 🙂

My SIL Bethany was unable to make it due to being sick, but she still assembled incredible strawberry balloon arch.

It was hard to fully capture in a picture because it was so huge! Aren’t the flower balloons great?

They also made little onesie garlands with adorable baby clothes I got to keep. How cute is this??

More books and cute clothes, help.

Megan invited all the guests to bring diapers to be entered in the “diaper raffle.” Whoever’s name got drawn won a prize. This is a great way to collect diapers – we’re gonna go through a lot of them!

After snacks, we played this fun game that was once again so nostalgic for me. I got them all right, yay! And it gave me ideas of what books to read Sophia one day. 🙂

A couple of guest pictures from friends and family – thanks guys.

We finished with gifts, of course. 🙂 I felt so blessed by all the lovely things people got me, including some incredibly special handmade gifts. Both of my grandmothers made me quilts! ❤ This bear quilt would have been my dream as a little girl. Gram sewed it from scratch and hand-quilted it too.

One last picture under the balloon arch. I’m wearing my bridesmaid dress from Megan’s wedding, but with a ribbon I sewed on for a sash. I’m glad I could re-wear it!

I am so blessed to be surrounded with love and support from my family and friends, and this day definitely made me feel even more supported. Thanks again to everyone who set up the party or attended it – it meant so much to me. Baby Sophia is already so loved. 🙂
Could you guess the storybook quotes? Blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries?

What a beautiful baby shower! And you look lovely, Allison!
I’m a raspberry girl myself- love the fruit theme! And the decorations are just darling!
I wasn’t familiar with many of the quotes. My mom’s first language is German (her mother is full-blood and came to America in her 20s) and read German books when I was young. There were American ones intertwined such as “If I Were a Moose” and “Who Wants Arthur?” (the saddest book ever!!!! It still makes me tear up today.) Today I love the “Amelia Bedelia” books. You can’t go wrong with “Winnie-the-Pooh”-so cute! Which childhood book is your favorite? When Sophia is old enough, which one you are most looking forward to reading to her?
I bet all the diapers and clothes makes it feels like you’ll be meeting your baby soon! So exciting! God bless you, friend!

Ah raspberries are probably my all-time favorite too. It was such a cute theme!
I haven’t heard the first two but I love Amelia Bedelia and Winnie-the-Pooh. I’m really looking forward to reading the latter to her especially, and books like Goodnight Moon and Harold and the Purple Crayon. There are so many good ones to choose from!
They really do. So exciting! Thanks friend.
