It’s time for the annual Spring Fling post! Our friends host these fun events every year and I’m almost always one of the volunteer photographers. Enjoy scrolling through a jaw-dropping cupcake competition, cute kids, and more spring fun.
Before any of the scheduled activities, people hang out in the barn to enjoy things like face painting, origami, coloring, and puzzles. Carmen painted cute strawberries on several of her friends’ faces.

(Note: I try to only post face shots of my family/close friends to respect people’s privacy…. so there will be a lot of Sophia in this post. I know you’re all so disappointed. 😛 ) Sophia cracked everyone up with her attachment to this very loud rubber chicken toy that Sully got her when he took her on a shopping trip recently. Oh MY, it’s so hilarious and obnoxious. XD

My mom was helping with the drink station and I thought she looked especially pretty and happy. 🙂

I love that this year they covered the indoor tables with brown paper so people could draw anywhere. I don’t know who drew this but it’s fun.

Some abandoned daisy crowns…

They also got custom puzzles featuring photos from their past events. What a neat idea!

The cupcake competition this year was INSANE. Such an impressively beautiful and delicious array of desserts! I didn’t win any prizes, but still had fun making the toadstool cupcakes in the top picture below.

Most of these cupcakes were made by kids – and the giraffe cupcakes above were the winner of the 5-10 year old section. :O

They also had a tug-of-war station set up outside.

Cute little girl sighting. 😀

A banjo and guitar jam session.

I feel like this is such a homeschooler water bottle sticker, but in the best way, you know? XD

The doughnut-eating competitions are always amusing to watch. They often end in contestants diving for the last piece and eating it off the ground, haha.

An unusual array of hats: a cedar slice from the crosscut-sawing competition and deflated rubber ball. 😛

There are also a couple of 9-square games going on. Sully held Sophia while playing and she made it all the way to the winning square in the center! Go Sophia! 😀

Time for a tasty supper of chicken BBQ. Sophia enjoyed stealing pieces of her Aunt Chessie’s bread.

This girl did NOT nap well the whole day, but Sully finally got her to sleep for a bit in the stroller. Her little sleep sack… ❤ 🙂

She was passed around to many people throughout the day and did great for the most part. She’s a sociable little chub friend.

We left after just a few dances because Sophia was in desperate need of sleep. Goodbye, Spring Fling!

We’ll end with some aesthetic cow shots I took while we were leaving.

I hope you enjoyed coming along with us for a day of fun.
Which photo was your favorite?
Thank you so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

I love the picture of the barn all lit up, and all the cupcakes, and the one of Sophia smiling away in Sully’s arms.

I quite agree, haha.
Yes it’s a really cool game! It’s like the 4-square version kids play on the ground, but in the air instead.
We are doing well, thanks! How are you, my friend?

How neat! I bet there were a lot of laughs in that game! 🙂
Thank you for asking. My family and I have been under a lot of stress. The YouTube channel is also a ministry. We’ve been trying to help someone that we met through it, as we thought it’s what God wanted us to do, but it’s getting tense. Would appreciate prayer for wisdom.
