Etcetera #11

Hello, dears!

Yikes. I haven’t done an “etcetera” post in three months – my computer is about to burst with random photos! I went through these again and again and eventually couldn’t bear to narrow them down anymore, so prepare for the biggest photo dump I’ve posted on here in a while. O.o This may require a cup of hot something or a snack, if you’re that kind of person. 😉

Anyway, I’m rather excited about this mish-mashed collection of cute pups, jelly beans, self portraits, foggy photography, tangled plants, adventures, and aesthetic pictures. 🙂 I’ll keep my captions to a minimum so you can just scroll and enjoy.

(Also happy Valentine’s day; I almost forgot. XD) Let’s do this!

Sunbeams & Hay Bales

Hello, dears!

Yay, I finally get to share some of my favorite recent photos! Our cousins from Canada stayed at our house over New Years and we had many lovely adventures with them that will have to last us until we see them again. 🙂

If kids (and sometimes) adults come over to our house and want to go outside, there’s a high chance we’ll take you to 1) the hay barn (basically an enormous, extremely dusty playground), or 2) one of the streams (which can provide hours of entertainment as well). As a bonus, they both make for some pretty fun pictures!

Enjoy this collection of sunbeams and hay bales and warm winter adventures!

Farewell, 2019 {My Year in Review}

Hello, dears!

It’s time for my annual huge New Year’s post! 😀 Today I’m gonna be reviewing the biggest events of my 2019; a short list of favorite books and music; blog stats; and, of course, my goals and resolutions! I love looking back on these posts. Every time, my past self looks a little strange, God’s grace clearly abounds and overflows, and the memories bring me back to times I hope I never forget.

Although there weren’t as many dramatic highs and lows as last year, 2019 was a good year for me, and I grew a lot (not physically 😉 ). God led me through several things that stretched me out of my comfort zone and made me depend completely on him because I obviously couldn’t do it myself. And he was faithful. He always is, and yet somehow I still doubt that again and again. *sigh* What a merciful Lord we have, don’t we?

Anyway. Let’s get into the post before the intro gets any longer. XD Right this way, please!

Pet Photography, Part 2: Cats + Chickens

Hello, dears!

I hope you all had a marvelous Thanksgiving! I had the most exciting one ever, which I cannot wait to post about soon. But for now… I’m back with the second part of my pet photography collection! Today we shall visit our two cats and several chickens (including our baby chicks which are now almost grown up!).

This post might not be quite as adorable as the first one, but OH MY, the photos are much more amusing. :’D I hope you enjoy!

Pet Photography, Part 1: Donkeys, Bunnies, Etc.

Hello, dears!

Knowing that a) you guys usually love animal photography and b) I haven’t taken bunny pictures in a while, I went out this morning and took a bunch of pictures of all of our pets to  provide your daily dose of cuteness! 🙂 We apparently have too many pets to fit in one post, so I’ll be doing this in two parts.

Enjoy the various fuzziness for today: donkeys, dogs, and rabbits, for today. 🙂

State Fair, Part 1: {Rodeos and Cowboys}

Hello, dears!

I went to our state fair for the first time with my family a few days ago, and got TONS of pictures! Because obviously. 😉 I have far too many to stuff into one post, so I’ll do at least one more collection after this. For now, enjoy some action photography of horses, lassos, and cute little cowboys 😀

Just Hatched {Chick Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

So we have this incubator for hatching eggs, and the 22 eggs from our chickens just hatched! Well, several of them, anyway. Some chicks are probably hatching while I type. 🙂 Of course I had to take pictures of their adorable fluffiness, so prepare yourselves for a mini cuteness overload!

September {Poetry & Pictures}

Hello, dears!

Today I have some more poetry + fall aesthetics for you. I’m really excited about both! I went outside just as the sun was setting the other day to get some September-y photos and then had fun editing to make them even more so. I interspersed a few pictures throughout the poem and added the rest at the end because I couldn’t bear to leave them out. 🙂

If you’re excited for fall, you might enjoy this post! If you’re not – well, maybe you’ll be excited for it now. 😛

Enjoy, my friends!
