Bullet Journal Setup 2019

Hello, dears!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Now that it’s officially 2019, I decided it’s time to try a new layout for my bullet journal. 😉 This time, I went with something super simple but still pretty – namely, washi tape! 😀 I got a bunch of GORGEOUS tapes for Christmas (more on that in a later post), and I had so much fun using them throughout this spread!

I kept the first part of my bujo simple so I had more time to work on… some exciting Etsy news pertaining to bullet journals. 😉 More on that at the end of the post. Keep reading if you like bujos or planners! 😉

Farewell, 2018 {Yearly Wrap-Up}

Hello, dears!

How was your Christmas? Mine was a little different than normal, but still wonderful. 🙂 We had 5 celebrations with different parts of the family, caroled at a nursing home, had a beautiful Christmas Eve service, were blessed with many fun gifts, and ate WAY too much good food. XD

Now, the post. Whew, where do I start? 2018 has probably been the most exciting, scary, stressful, wonderful, and all-around life-changing year for me yet. O.o I don’t think I can do it justice in one post, but I’ll try.

Today I’m going to show you guys some highlights, blog stats, popular posts from this year, goals for 2019, and more. I hope you enjoy the ride! Let’s start with some highlights from 2018, which aren’t necessarily in order.

Christmas Wonder

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. Christmas is ONE. WEEK. AWAY. *loud gasp* Now that I’ve told you a fact you already knew… today I’m going to show you guys how we’ve decorated our house for Christmas! This year we went easy on the small trinket decorations and instead used fresh greenery, which looks AMAZING. Hopefully this post will give you some decorating inspiration and spread a little Christmas spirit. 😉

Hello, dears!

Can you believe it’s less than THREE WEEKS until Christmas?? I’ve been playing Christmas music and making fires in the fireplace and loving the Christmas decorations we put up (which I’ll hopefully post about soon!). Anyway, in honor of the season, today I’m going to show you guys a tutorial on how to make easy but beautiful Christmas-themed art.

Best Friends Q&A + Pictures

Hello, dears!

Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I did! So far we’ve had one out of four celebrations, and for the rest we’re going to our old farm for the weekend for fun times and delicious food with friends and family. 🙂

Anyway, back to the post. About a month ago I got the chance to visit my dear friend, Aria, and see her family’s lovely farm. We had a wonderful time together, and this time we made sure to take PLENTY of pictures. XD Aria suggested doing a BFF Q&A to go along with them, and I agreed it sounded fun. And here we are! Get ready for some pretty fall photography and answers to a selection of you guys’ questions. 😉 After you’re done here, make sure and hop over to Aria’s blog to check out fifteen more questions and answers!

The Art Lab, Episode 62: Inktober 2018

Hello, dears!

Welcome back to another Art Lab post! Today I’m going to be showing you my drawings for Inktober 2018. Inktober is a challenge to draw one pen or ink drawing each day for the month of October. You’re supposed to follow the “official prompts” which I’ll show you in a bit, and then share your art with others.

I’ve never done this challenge before, although I’d heard of it, but one of my lovely readers asked if I was doing it, so I decided to try it! I’m glad I did. 😀 Even though I didn’t strictly follow the rules (it was close to the middle of October before I had time to start), I did use all the prompts and drew something every day when possible. 🙂 Continue reading

Photography Challenge {My Entries}

Hello, dears!

A little while ago, the marvelous Amanda came up with a 12-day photography challenge for her photographer friends and herself. I was one of the aforementioned, and it was a lot of fun! Several of us contributed prompts and then posted our photos from each day on a Google Doc, so all the other participants could see them as well. I enjoyed intentionally creating photos instead of just snapping a picture of whatever was already there, like I usually do.

So, as you might guess, today I’ll be showing you the photos I took for this challenge! Continue reading

50th Anniversary Celebration {Part 1}

Hello, dears!

This past weekend, Mom’s side of the family came up to our farm to celebrate Grandpa and Grandma’s 50th anniversary! It was AMAAAZING, ahhh! We made so many good memories, had so many fun adventures, and ate so much good food. XD I also took hundreds and hundreds of pictures, obviously. 😀 I got so many pictures that it was hard to pick a small enough amount for this post, but I hope you enjoy this selection of photographs and fun times with family. 🙂 Continue reading
