A Tour of Our Small Town

Hello friends!

Sully and I live right outside the most photogenic little town – close enough to walk there for dates but far enough to be off of Main Street. We took a stroll to our favorite gelato shop the other evening and I finally brought my camera along for a photoshoot. 

I haven’t done much architecture photography, growing up on a farm as I have, but I’d like to do more. Sully patiently waited as I made many short, excited detours to snap a shot of an interesting subject or location. I love how the pictures turned out! Late Summer Flower Garden Photoshoot

My mom’s flower garden is stunning and lush right now. I finally brought my camera to take pictures of it the other day… and then realized it was out of battery. 😦 I so wanted to take photos that I went ahead and used my phone instead. It was a fun challenge with surprisingly pretty results!

Chessie & Logan’s Wedding!

My brother got married last Saturday! It was a great day resulting in a beautiful new sister-in-law and a very happy brother. 😀 I brought my camera along to take a few getting-ready pictures and such and also took a few shots during the setup and rehearsal dinner that I wanted to share with you guys.

A Goldendoodle Puppy Photoshoot

Hello friends!

Be warned: EXTREME CUTENESS AHEAD. You will probably want a puppy after reading this post. 😛 We visited my aunt’s house recently to see her litter of ten adorable goldendoodle puppies and happily I had my camera along with me. They were about four weeks old when I took these pictures I believe and OH MY, so sweet! They were super soft and cuddly and sleepy.

A Visit to the County Fair

I finally got to take Sully to the county fair I enjoyed every summer a kid. So many good memories… We drove there last Saturday along with my cousins and most of my siblings. It was a super fun afternoon filled with cute animals, free chickens, funnel cakes, scary drop towers, and more.

Photographing My Yard

I don’t have quite the same photo opportunities now that I live in the town rather than on a farm – no fields surrounding my house or woods and creeks to explore nearby. But if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a firm believer that you can find beauty anywhere. So the other day I decided to take some pictures in my little yard after a rain shower to see if I could capture some pretty nature in our corner of the neighborhood.
