AHH, I LOVE THIS PHOTOSHOOT SO MUCH. You guys are in for a treat! I get to be the wedding photographer in April for my friends Sam(antha) and Graham, and after this engagement shoot, I’m anticipating it even more eagerly.
The appointed day for picture-taking dawned gray, cloudy, and cold. But thanks to hot chocolate and hugs, Graham and Sam made it through like troopers and you’d never guess from the photos that we were all freezing. They lit up the cloudy day so well that the pictures glow even without my favorite golden-hour sun.

This post was so fun to make! Sully came over and we sat on the couch, ate jellybeans, and took turns typing out our answers. Well, we collaborated on some until Sully wrote something weird and I was like WAIT WHAT I DO NOT APPROVE TAKE MY INITIAL OFF. :’D Ohhh, Sully. *shakes head*

I’m excited to make some Christmas posts soon, starting next week after we get our Christmas tree, but today I’m finally posting this photoshoot I did months ago with a lovely coral pink rose. One day I realized my shirt matched the color of the roses almost exactly, and couldn’t resist doing a mini still life/self-portrait photoshoot with it! I had a lot of fun seeing how many different pictures I could compose with just one prop.

This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for fear. That’s a strange statement, I know, but it’s true: I’m grateful for what worrying has taught me. I’ve struggled with anxiety my entire life, and this year I’ve realized that as frustrating as that journey has been, I wouldn’t trade it even if I could. It’s been an incredible blessing in disguise, and today I wanted to explain why.

I’m finally posting a fall photoshoot! The leaves turned a lot later than normal this year, but goodness they were beautiful! It was one of the prettiest autumns I can remember in a long time. The photos for today are split between two different locations – my friends’ house while I was housesitting, and our farm, because of course.
