Sunny Spring Flower Photography

Hello friends!

Spring is coming to our farm, despite violent protests from the wind and wildly swinging temperatures. To prove it, I’ve collected a few glowy snapshots of the beautiful flowers my mom is growing right now that I wanted to share with you guys.

Enjoy a colorful dose of spring joy!

Birthday Explorations {a Green Truck Ride}

Hello, my friends!

Last week for my birthday, I chose to go on a Green Truck Ride around the farm and it was PERFECT, ahh! “Green truck rides” are kinda a lost tradition in our family. Dad has this vintage, mint-green Chevy truck he built that’s perfect for exploring our land in, but for the past four or five years it’s been out of repair. He finally fixed it up and we got to drive around at golden hour in perfect weather for my 21st birthday! It was an absolutely lovely evening.

Enjoy some happy photos of a delightfully flower-lined path, a soggy dog, and golden hour goodness.

Chains, Goats, & Flower Gardens {Golden Hour Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

How’s that for a random title? I was looking for something like, “A Post Where I Wander Around the Yard and Take Photos of Lots of Random Things at Golden Hour,” but that would be a tad long. It would have been helpfully explanatory, however, since that’s what this post is about. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Walking around and taking pictures is honestly one of my favorite things. It’s so refreshing, plus I get to be creative at the same time. โค So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy taking this evening walk with me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Explore with Me 001 | Golden Hour Walk

Hello, dears!

I don’t know about you, but I spend WAY too much time on the computer. I could give a lot of good excuses, some of which are legitimate, but still, the fact remains. I do love being outside and especially exploring our land with my family, but I don’t have much motivation to go outside by myself because it feels like such a waste of time when I could be doing many more useful things inside. Anyone else??

But. Yesterday I was tired of being on a screen and it looked beautiful out there, so I decided to give myself a break and take my camera and just walk around. And it was lovely. Sometimes a breath ofย  fresh air is useful in itself, right?

I hope these pictures can inspire you to take a screen break (after this post, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) and find some beauty where you live!

Of Donkeys and Magnolia Trees

Hello, dears!

Today’s post is going to be sort of an odd mix of photos which were taken on the same two evenings, so I decided to lump them together. ๐Ÿ™‚ My family and I were mulching our flowerbeds about a month ago, and it happened to be during my favorite time to photograph, a.k.a. the golden hour. Knowing me, you’ll not be surprised that I couldn’t resist photographing many things (including pet donkeys, magnolia trees, and random weeds) in the golden light. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Enjoy browsing through this summer evening!

A Walk in the Wildflowers

Hello, dears!

My sister Megan and I planted a TON of flowers this year. We were skeptical at first about whether they’d work since we hadn’t tried wildflowers here before… but wow, did they grow! We now have two little wildflower patches overflowing with blooms, plus a longer stretch of flowers near the end of our family’s garden. And, knowing me, you’ll not be surprised to hear that I have taken tons of pictures. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve narrowed down some of my favorite pictures to show you guys today, including a goodly selection of macro photography. I hope you enjoy these bright and colorful beauties at the golden hour!
