Sunny Spring Flower Photography

Hello friends!

Spring is coming to our farm, despite violent protests from the wind and wildly swinging temperatures. To prove it, I’ve collected a few glowy snapshots of the beautiful flowers my mom is growing right now that I wanted to share with you guys.

Enjoy a colorful dose of spring joy!

Our dining room has been filled with anemone bouquets for the past little while. This one is just about ready to pop.

Here’s a cute little daffodil peeking shyly through the leaves.

We’ve also been enjoying bunches of tulip bouquets. Isn’t this white-and-pink-striped kind gorgeous?

These yellow pansies remind me of the crinkled crepe paper streamers we used to hang up for birthday parties in our house.

Tulip buds look so elegant when they’re closed and poised like this.

Here’s an accidentally-abstract photo featuring the tips of curved tulip leaves. I love the colors here! The silvery green and pink go so nicely together.

I also got some pictures of the indoor bouquets we have. The plant stand in the foyer always catches lots of light in the morning – perfect for sunlit flower photography!

So glowy, ah!

These purple anemones + the green fern make my heart happy. πŸ™‚

Switching gears now to another little photoshoot I took one evening as the sun was about to go down. I couldn’t resist capturing these daffodils in the last light.

I might use this one as a phone wallpaper… Feel free to use my photos for your lockscreen/wallpaper if you so desire!

More tulips! These blooms are as spiky and bright as flames.

I LOVE THE LIGHT HERE AHHHH. So cozy and warm and beautiful.

I had to get one last photo of the flowers with our house in the background. Love this one!

Welp, that’s it for now. I loved taking and editing these pictures, and I hope you guys enjoyed looking through them too. Spring blossoms definitely brighten my day; I hope they brightened yours!

What flowers are blooming where you live? Which of these pictures was your favorite?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

    1. Thanks so much, Heidi! Are you talking about the blurred background? Okay, first… Do you use a DSLR? It’s really tricky to get good blur otherwise. If you do use a DSLR, the amount of blur you get depends a lot on your lens. My 35mm lenses can get decent background blur, but my 50mm does even better (that’s what I used here). You gotta crank the aperture down all the way for maximum blur. I was probably at f1.8 or 2.2 or something like that. Wow, that was long. πŸ˜‚ Hope that helps!

  1. Lovely! No flowers here yet, but I’m beginning to see some green leaves of my Hollyhocks under the snow πŸ™‚ Most exciting time of the year.

  3. I always love the flower photoshoots🌻.
I like the little touch of yellow of the daffodil amongst all the green🌚.
The white and pink striped tulip is really gorgeous🌷.
Most photo’s taken by accident turn out so prettyπŸ’«.
The purple and green touched with sunlight looks amazing🌈.
I love how the yellow and red flowers and the last picture is just perfect. The perfect ending to an amazing photoshoot🌚🌻.
There aren’t any flowers blooming over year because it’s autumn so everything is drying up and it’s extremely windy 🧘.

    1. Yay! I love taking them.
      Me too!
Yes, accidental photos are sometimes the best kinds!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the pictures, Sabrina!
Aw shucks. Are there any pretty leaves? Hey, it’s been extremely windy here too!

  4. Nice pictures of spring, in my neck of the woods the only thing blooming right now is the Crocuses. However, I also have tiny buds on our 3 Blueberry Bushes, and I can definitely tell they are alive, and our Tulips are up about an inch and a half. Despite a few flurries Friday Night, we are starting to get daytime temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s.

  5. Allison, I’m still following you even though I don’t comment. The pics are beautiful and boy it must be warmer down there than it has been here. BRRRR. I am also really enjoying everything about your up coming wedding. Wonderful! Hi to your folks and hugs to all.
