My friend Aria recently sent me her Nikon D7200 camera because she couldn’t sell it and also because she’s amazing. 😀 I haven’t upgraded my camera in five years (see my… interesting first photos with it here), so I was thrilled that Aria kinda forced me to get a new camera. Otherwise I’d probably go on using my old, comfortable Nikon D3400 forever.
Anyway, I tried it out and definitely noticed an improvement in the quality, clarity, and focus of these photos. I’m curious to see if you guys notice too or if it’s just me as the photographer. Let’s find out!

Get ready for a LOT of pictures today because I haven’t done one of these miscellaneous photography posts in five months! I still haven’t shared small adventures from way back in December, like making doughnuts and going on a rather spontaneous road-trip. Not to mention more recent events like a spring festival our friends put on with barn dancing and competitions and lots of fun memories. And, of course, plenty of pretty nature and landscape photos as usual. 🙂

Last week for my birthday, I chose to go on a Green Truck Ride around the farm and it was PERFECT, ahh! “Green truck rides” are kinda a lost tradition in our family. Dad has this vintage, mint-green Chevy truck he built that’s perfect for exploring our land in, but for the past four or five years it’s been out of repair. He finally fixed it up and we got to drive around at golden hour in perfect weather for my 21st birthday! It was an absolutely lovely evening.

I have more golden hour pictures for you! While on a walk the other evening, I got in that photographing mood where I try and make pretty pictures out of the most random or unphotogenic things. I know it’s fall now and everyone’s looking for oranges and reds, but I wanted to quick sneak in some green photos before we get too much further into the season. 😉 I took these a couple weeks ago when the light started taking on that golden fall look but the woods were still lush and green. I’m finally back with a collection of the random photos I’ve acquired since my last Etcetera post! 😀 Some of the pictures for today include vibrant sunsets, undignified cats, friends’ engagement photos, a baby turtle I rescued, my brother playing drums, and a large collection of paper butterflies.

How’s that for a random title? I was looking for something like, “A Post Where I Wander Around the Yard and Take Photos of Lots of Random Things at Golden Hour,” but that would be a tad long. It would have been helpfully explanatory, however, since that’s what this post is about. 😉
Walking around and taking pictures is honestly one of my favorite things. It’s so refreshing, plus I get to be creative at the same time. ❤ So yeah, I hope you guys enjoy taking this evening walk with me! 🙂
