Golden Hour Sisters Photoshoot

I’m SO excited to show you this photoshoot, guys! (Hmm, I seem to start all my posts this way, don’t I?) Anyway, Megan and I love doing impromptu photoshoots and we recently did two photoshoots at the golden hour. I have to say, they turned out GORGEOUS! I think these are my favorite of the sisters photoshoots so far!

Megan took all the pictures of me and I took all the pictures of her (well, obviously). Sometimes the “model” chose her own poses and sometimes the photographer did. All pictures in this post were edited by me, if they were edited at all.

I hope you guys have as much fun looking through these pictures as we did taking them!

We still have a beautiful tangled jungle of marigolds and zinnias which is perfect for photoshoots. Don’t you think?

I told Megan to hold the marigold so it looks like she’s blowing a bubble, and then she PUT IT IN HER MOUTH. *Sigh* She said it tasted bad, but I didn’t feel real sorry for her. XD

Okay so Megan’s expression is just a tad odd, BUT THE LIGHTING. Ohhhh my goodness, I love it so much!

Oh look, I’m Ophelia. I actually love these photos though! I came up with the idea (although I’ve seen it before), and Megan arranged the flowers and took the pictures.

It was quite hard to get good, clear pictures of someone swinging, but I finally figured out that manual focus really helps for this because you can preset it.

  8. I loved the caption “it looks like Megan is yanking the flower out by the roots”. I nearly choked when I read it. My ribs are hurting ’cause I’m trying not to lol, I don’t wanna wake my brother.
    I don’t think it was supposed to be that funny………..

    Needless to say, the award goes to Megan, that’s my fave pic 😂😂

  12. Haha…my list is long so be prepared…I love the ones with Megan and the marigold,especially the last one…haha. The sunset photos, especially the one with you smelling the marigold…OMG…Yaaaaaas…I don’t even know why i said that…Haha…excuse the excitement. The ‘oh look i’m ophelia set’…fantastic…you can really see the definition of the flowers, especially the second and third one, then finally and best of all the last one from the swing set *jaw drops* You captured motion, light, blur and landscape all in one perfectly timed shot, a picture that tells it’s own story. Bravo Allison! Bravo!

  14. Great post! Such pretty pictures! We have Zinnias just like yours, although they are not in bloom yet. I really like the pictures on the swing! I have also done a flower hair picture before. Lots of fun!

  19. I really liked all of the photos! So fun! Golden hour is so pretty! Unfortunately most of our flowers died because of the frost 😦 Also, I have been really busy so I will email you back as soon as possible! 🙂

    Your photography is so great! I always try to take sunset pictures like that, but nobody is ever willing to be my subject or take pictures of me. Oh well! I like the ones of Megan on the swing and you illuminated by the sunset 😀

    Any tips on how to get a sister to help with a photo shoot?? I can’t get my sister to help me, and when I do, it takes a lot of coaxing. XP (LOL)

  40. Those pictures are amazing, and you guys are so pretty! I think my favorites are the flowers in your hair – I love that pose for some reason. It feels all princess-y and magical. I tend to force my brothers to take “cool” pictures of me, as was the case in my profile picture, but they don’t always turn out… XD

Seven black and white photos of your life. No people. No explanation. Challenge someone new each day”. You can carry on with your regular postings . Use the Title : 7 DAYS, 7 PHOTOS CHALLENGE – DAY 1…are you up for it. I’m sure you’d do magic with black and white.

  46. I LOVE everyone of them, eek!!!! 😮 The marigolds one was hysterical! And I loved the one of you with the flowers in your hair, all of the pictures look SO professional! In my magazine I use pictures of similar to these in different places, and I was wondering if I could use a few in my spring issue? What do you think? You and Megan are so pretty and so are the pictures! 😀
