A Girl and a Goat {Extreme Cuteness Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

EEEP, if you need some cheering up today, I got a smile for you! Or maybe a couple dozen. I am seriously SO excited for this post – this may be my favorite photoshoot yet. I love everything about it.

The other evening I took some golden-hour pictures of my youngest sister with her beloved, adorable dwarf goat and… *flails* I love these photos so so much, and I hope they’ll make you guys grin as much as they did for me! (Warning: this may make you want a dwarf goat and/or a little sister. 😛 )

Okay. Here we go. Get ready for some cuteness.

SEE WHAT I MEAN?? Just… everything. The lighting was perfect, Dad had just baled a photogenic hayfield, Carmen (my sister) and Nellie (the goat) were adorable, so how could I go wrong?

Heh heh, Carmen came up with several of the poses and this was one of them. *grins widely* Good thing Nellie is a longsuffering pet. (This whole photoshoot was really her dream – an hour of attention an petting and holding.)

Maggie (our dog) accompanied us all over to another fresh haybale by a glowing tree. *heart eyes*

What cracks me up throughout this whole photoshoot is the contrast between Carmen’s and Nellie’s expressions. :’D

I think I was telling her that whenever she had a hard time smiling naturally, it usually helps to pretend to laugh because that ends up making you actually laugh. It worked. 😀

Carmen wondered if she could make a little nest for herself and Nellie in one of the windrows, to which I agreed. We kinda had a bumper crop of hay this year, so the rows nearly swallowed them up!

After a while in that field, we crossed over to the wheatfield on the other side of the tree border to catch the last light.

I got a few last ones as we headed home, but the light was fading fast. The pale sky and bleached wheatstalks made such a dreamy effect, but sadly a lot of the pictures ended up blurry. :/ Also BAD NELLIE, I think she’s about to eat a soybean plant in this one. XD

        1. I certainly hope too, hee hee! Well thank you! I’ve been practicing it for quite a few years, and I also edit my pictures to optimize them after I take them. I’m so glad you like them!

  26. Okay, my absolute favorite is 5th up from the bottom…where your sister is half-turned towards the camera, smiling, with Nellie at her feet. The beauty and confidence that you captured in that photo is unmistakable!! II thought t jumped off the page💕Nellie adorable! And the glowing light in the background was the best – I loved these!🥰
