Family Beach Vacation, Part 2 {A Candid Family Photoshoot}

Hello friends!

For this second part of my vacation series, I collected cute portraits taken during one or two breakfasts at Vero Beach. All the family gathered together in one of the rooms to eat each morning. I couldn’t resist the perfect chance to document the Alexander family, especially their sweet interactions with the little ones. Enjoy this candid family photoshoot!

One of my favorite things about the vacation was watching the older kids look after and love on the younger ones. The Hammers are especially amazing little babysitters!

As are the grandparents, of course. ❤

family lifestyle (6)

Jonas got passed around a lot. He’s possibly the smiley-est baby I’ve ever met, even though he looks serious in most of these pictures.

family lifestyle (7)

Sheridan and Michelle made lots of fancy coffees for the vacation-goers with the coffee-maker they brought along.

family lifestyle (5)

William’s normal state of existence is EXCITEMENT! 😀

family lifestyle (8)

Cole was probably busy either being cute and sweet or naughty and mischievous. Those are his main two modes of existence.

family lifestyle (9)

John LOVED playing Bop It during the vacation. That and the game Simon got used a lot.

family lifestyle (25)

Hehe I love his laugh in this one. I think he was in the “jail,” a.k.a. the corner behind the armchair.

family lifestyle (10)

Oliver always makes jokes and acts tough and pokes fun… and then is like the sweetest dad. It’s great. All of the Alexander guys are so good with kids.

family lifestyle (11)

So cuuuute. ❤

family lifestyle (12)

HAHA this one always cracks me up. William and Penelope seemed to become “best cousins” on the trip. Penelope treated him kindly and lovingly as if he were her little brother, and William called her his “Captain” for a while, haha.

family lifestyle (13)

One of the funniest moments: a circle of small cousins planning how to defeat the bad guy, a.k.a. Uncle Harrison. He always makes them laugh by putting them “in jail” or catching them and tickling them, and is thus forever branded as The Bad Guy.

family lifestyle (17)

Look how cute these two brothers are. 🙂

family lifestyle (18)

While I was taking pictures of the cousin huddle outside, I looked behind me to see Jensen happily fascinated by the window shade drawstrings. I couldn’t decide which of the two shots to include, so I went with both.

Meanwhile, inside the condo, Jonas was happily munching on a Styrofoam bowl.

family lifestyle (19)

The girls doting on baby Jonas.

family lifestyle (20)

Henry loved these goggles for some reason and wore them in situations quite unrelated to swimming.

family lifestyle (22)

Another favorite, of Caroline getting a morning hug from her dad. ❤

family lifestyle (21)

The guys talking about… I don’t remember. Likely something involving meme humor, video games, current events, or theology.

family lifestyle (23)

Elliott, the coffee connoisseur, giving Sheridan and Joy a lesson on the difference between hotel coffee and quality coffee.

Jonas taking a turn being held by The Bad Guy…

…and then getting rescued by beloved Saca.

And later handed off to Uncle Sullivan to be kept out of mischief.

family lifestyle (2)

Jensen, ready for any excursion in his red wagon.

family lifestyle (28)

An adorable moment of Cole finding baby Ellanie a very nice tiny person.

family lifestyle (29)

He really was so excited about how cute this baby was. 😛

family lifestyle (31)

And let me tell you, Ellanie is pretty cute alright! She’s such a sweet little girl, especially loved because of the recent scarcity of girls born into the family.

I hope you enjoyed this photoshoot even if you don’t know the people in it, haha. I loved capturing the joy and mischief and love of these guys during the whole two weeks I was with them. ❤ I’ll be back with more vacation photos next week!

Which picture is your favorite?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

  1. Awwww, this photoshoot reminds me so much of our family gatherings of all my cousins’ kids and younger siblings/cousins running around and having a blast. 🙂 There are so many cute kids that I don’t think I can decide a favorite photo 😉🥰
