Baby Edison {Newborn Photoshoot}

You guys are in for a treat! I have more baby photos for you today, but this time they feature my new little nephew. Megan had baby Edison in the middle of May, and I got to do a little newborn photoshoot of him and his parents when he was just 9 days old. Get ready for lots of cuteness!

Say hello to this little cutie. He was wide awake the whole time I took pictures.

He actually seems to be a super chill and sweet little guy, despite his scrunchy face here.

His tiny little arms and legs… ❤ He was a little over 8 lbs. when born so really not that small. But he seemed so tiny compared to Sophia!

Haha, some of his expressions make him look like a little man. And EVERYONE says he looks a ton like his dad – it’s so cute and funny how strong the resemblance is.

It’s tiring work, getting your pictures taken.

Megan gave him her finger to suck on to calm him down, but then he ended up being actually hungry, so we took a nursing intermission for both him and Sophia.

A diaper/outfit change was also needed.

I tried to do the cute little “face on hands” newborn pose, but since I didn’t have the right pillows (or enough experience), this is the closest we got. My hand is actually holding his head up off camera.

Can’t forget the detail shots!

Okay this is my FAVORITE from the whole shoot. Like, how extraordinarily sweet…?! I love how he’s encircled by both his parents’ hands.

Considering if he should give Dad a taste… let’s go for it! 😛

I love a good mirror shot. ❤

I was so glad they wanted me to get family pictures as well. I kinda wish we had some like this from Sophia’s early days.

LOVE his almost-smile in this one. Adorable!

Sophia was exploring the bedroom as I took these pictures, and she eventually wanted to some visit her cousin. She seemed larger-than-life compared to the tiny newborn, goodness. We had to distract her with something else when she got a little too eager to squeeze his legs, hehe.

Such classic, sweet shots. ❤ They JUST finished their new house enough to move in a couple weeks before Edison arrived. So this is an extra special photoshoot!

This series is so heartwarming, isn’t it?

Black and white details. Also, a moment for how much hair he has. Love it!

SO PRECIOUS. I’m so glad I got to do individual parent pictures!

And we’ll end with these adorable ones of the new mama and her sweet new son. Taking these pictures just made my heart glad. ❤

Praise God that after a difficult pregnancy and labor, Megan’s postpartum has gone AMAZINGLY well so far! Edison is a champion sleeper which I am so grateful for on their behalf. It brings me immense amounts of joy to watch my sister become a mother and get to support her, at least a little bit, in the way we were so supported through our early days of postpartum. I’m sure Edison will feature in many more posts to come. 🙂

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!
