Megan & Harrison {the Wedding Weekend}

Hello friends!

Last weekend my sister got married to my brother-in-law! 😀 It was SUCH an amazing, beautiful, memory-filled few days so of course I wanted to share some of the pictures I took.

Megan got married at my family’s farm (as is the tradition with my siblings) decorated with bright poppies and florals, string lights, and lots of yellow. 🙂

Snapshots from the Outer Banks

Hello friends!

I’m back with the second half of my vacation pictures from our recent trip to OBX. Today’s post will feel sort of like an “Etcetera” collection since it features all the random photos that didn’t fit into the last one.

Read on for Jeep duckies, beach flowers, good eats, and a proud pigeon. Enjoy this random collection!

Sand Dunes & Sound Waves {Exploring the Outer Banks}

Hello friends!

We’re back from a lovely vacation to the Outer Banks! Sully and I had a wonderful time walking beaches and going for long drives along the Sound, despite chilly weather. Of course I took heaps of photos I can’t wait to share with you. 🙂

I’m splitting the pictures into two very long posts: one for the beachy scenery today, and one for other miscellaneous photos and adventures next week. So for now, enjoy these beautiful landscapes!

A Collection of Spring Blooms

Hello friends!

I don’t know about you, but one of the things I most look forward to about spring is THE FLOWERS. Winter is sadly lacking in the area of blossoms, so I’ve been thrilled to finally see bright colors popping out of the earth these March days.

Today I have a colorful, sun-soaked post to brighten your heart. 🙂 Enjoy this little nature photoshoot!

Natural Bridge State Park {Vacation, Pt. 1}

Hello friends!

Sully and I went on a lovely trip in the mountains over the weekend, ending with a breathtaking tour of Natural Bridge on our way home. Although pictures can’t convey the grandeur of this massive rock formation, I’m excited to show you the ones I got of the bridge as well as the beautiful path beyond it.

Read on for stone towers, charming streams, and pretty wildflowers.

The First Signs of Spring

Hello friends!

I have a lush little photoshoot to share with you today. I know it’s only the beginning of February, but I’m already excited for spring. I’ve spotted a bunch of daffodil spears poking up around my yard as well as lots of weed flowers sprinkling the grass.

At this point in the year, most of the signs of spring are tiny and easily missed, so I decided to capture them with my favorite macro extension tubes (aff. link). Enjoy this macro nature photography!

Black & White Winter Photoshoot

Hello friends!

The weather has been awfully cold here recently, so going outdoors for exercise has felt a bit daunting. However, Sully and I braved the cold one day to take a walk in a local park. Everything was windy, brown, and soggy from a recent flood. But I took my camera along and tried to pick out interesting bits of nature to show off beautifully in a black and white format.

Did I succeed in making interesting photos from an ugly landscape? Read on to see what you think. 🙂
