Puppy Love

Hello, dears!

I trust you guys will like the post for today because it involves MUCH CUTENESS. And fluff. And… puppies!

My cousins and sister and I recently went to a place called “Puppy City,” which houses a bunch of adorable puppies that you can hold and pet and take pictures of. You can buy them too, of course, but they’re, like, thousands of dollars. O.o So we left them there, although it was hard. XD

Anyway, are you ready for cuteness overload? You’ll probably REALLY want a puppy after this, so please be warned and proceed with proper caution. *nods gravely*

Cousin Photoshoots at Golden Hour

Hello, dears!

Is it a bit dismal outside where you live too? This winter has been pretty warm for us, but SO cloudy and rainy. :/ If you’re in need of some sunlight, I have just the post for you! 😀

I took these two sets of pictures with my Canadian cousins way back in October, at the 50th anniversary celebration, and just haven’t gotten around to posting this second part till now – oops! I LOVE both photoshoots, though, and I hope you guys will too!

Christmas Harvest 2018

Hello, dears!

It already feels kinda weird to say “2018,” doesn’t it? XD Anyway, today I’m going to show you some of the lovely gifts I received for Christmas. As I’ve said before, the term “haul” really annoys me for some reason, so I’m sticking with “harvest” for now as a more… I don’t know, polite term? 😛

Before we begin, the obligatory disclaimer: of course I’m not writing this post to brag to you guys about my gifts. Why would I do that?? I made this post because I enjoy reading these kind of things, and hopefully you do too. 🙂

Bullet Journal Setup 2019

Hello, dears!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Now that it’s officially 2019, I decided it’s time to try a new layout for my bullet journal. 😉 This time, I went with something super simple but still pretty – namely, washi tape! 😀 I got a bunch of GORGEOUS tapes for Christmas (more on that in a later post), and I had so much fun using them throughout this spread!

I kept the first part of my bujo simple so I had more time to work on… some exciting Etsy news pertaining to bullet journals. 😉 More on that at the end of the post. Keep reading if you like bujos or planners! 😉

Farewell, 2018 {Yearly Wrap-Up}

Hello, dears!

How was your Christmas? Mine was a little different than normal, but still wonderful. 🙂 We had 5 celebrations with different parts of the family, caroled at a nursing home, had a beautiful Christmas Eve service, were blessed with many fun gifts, and ate WAY too much good food. XD

Now, the post. Whew, where do I start? 2018 has probably been the most exciting, scary, stressful, wonderful, and all-around life-changing year for me yet. O.o I don’t think I can do it justice in one post, but I’ll try.

Today I’m going to show you guys some highlights, blog stats, popular posts from this year, goals for 2019, and more. I hope you enjoy the ride! Let’s start with some highlights from 2018, which aren’t necessarily in order.

What Child Is This? {a Christmas Story}

Hello, dears!

Last year I wrote a little Christmas story for you guys, and this year I wanted to continue the tradition – only this time, from Mary’s perspective.

As a disclaimer, this is obviously NOT to be taken as gospel truth. Although I’ve collected as many insights as I could from the Bible (duh), advent devotionals, articles, sermons, etc., this is just me imagining what it would be like to be a part of the first Christmas story, as the mother of a Messiah. It’s hard to fathom what overwhelming joy and what terrible shame Mary would have dealt with. But I shall give it a try. 🙂

Find yourself a warm drink and a cozy spot, and please enjoy. ❤

Christmas Wonder

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. Christmas is ONE. WEEK. AWAY. *loud gasp* Now that I’ve told you a fact you already knew… today I’m going to show you guys how we’ve decorated our house for Christmas! This year we went easy on the small trinket decorations and instead used fresh greenery, which looks AMAZING. Hopefully this post will give you some decorating inspiration and spread a little Christmas spirit. 😉

Walking in a Winter Wonderland {Snow Photography}

Hello, dears!

Guess what? Last Sunday we got eleven inches of snow, AHHHHH! Since church was canceled and it was Mom’s birthday, we just stayed home and had possibly the best snow day ever. IT WAS MARVELOUS. I took heaps and piles of snow pictures, and I can’t wait to show you a selection of my favorites!

The Art Lab, Episode 64: Simple Nativity Scene

Hello, dears!

Can you believe it’s less than THREE WEEKS until Christmas?? I’ve been playing Christmas music and making fires in the fireplace and loving the Christmas decorations we put up (which I’ll hopefully post about soon!). Anyway, in honor of the season, today I’m going to show you guys a tutorial on how to make easy but beautiful Christmas-themed art.
