Books, Blooms, and Bales {Portrait Photography}

Megan and I did a super fun photoshoot of each other yesterday and got tons of great pictures! We had way too much fun figuring out creative ways to pose for each other. I’ve tried (and mostly failed) to narrow them down for you guys. Whoops.

We started in the barn, since haybales make awfully good props.

  12. All of them are so pretty! I wish I was photogenic. 🙂 Your blog has started to inspire me to maybe take up photography one day. 😉
    And you can use any of the pics for a profile, they’re all great! Even the “bad” ones. XD
    I think my favorites are the ones with the hay and the ones with the flowers though. 🙂

      Aww, well I don’t know that I’m usually that photogenic, but a DSLR and a 1.8 aperture lens makes pretty much anything photogenic. 😀

  14. Some great photos! This kind of thing is amazing practice for professional photography, you learn about posing, the best way to sit someone, or how to have them look… Looks as though these photos were as fun to shoot as they were for us to view here 🙂

    I think the second photo you suggested for your about page is better. I really like that you chose a barn with hay bales in it for your setting–it looks really good. 🙂

  27. Hi, Allison! My top 45 favorite are 17,21,40,50,51 and the last one wow 60 pictures! I think! That’s a lot I love them all your so pretty your eyes are so pretty too! And your hair! And the bunny Is adorable! And the kitten! And everything is AWESOME! 😂😂😂

I loved all of the pictures, you were so funny with your captions for them! 😉 I really liked the ones you said you really liked for your profile or about page, so I think you should go with the ones you like the most, after all, it is your picture! Haha! I wish I had a sister to do a photoshoot with. 😦

    The one with you peaking through the spider-‘webby’ window really does look like a writing prompt! The creepy barn ones are really funny, as well as the one with your hair flipped over your face XD .

  44. WOW! YOU”RE SO PRETTY! I always forget what you really look like until I see more pictures! I absolutely LOVE the tenth picture( plus the rest) an Well.. it’s hard to say all the others, because there were so many! I looked at all the others though and they’re all really good!I think you should use the first one, the tenth one and the one where you switched into capris and were standing against a barn. Thanks so much for posting!!! I loved all of these! The hair flip ones look like the most fun!!! Haha! I’m curious though, how long did it take you two to take all of these? (plus the ones you didn’t show us! XD ;)) Thanks so much for posting, Allison! I really enjoyed looking at these! Haha!
