Chicks, Goats, and More Cuteness

Hello, my friends!

Here’s your daily dose of cuteness if you’re in need of a smile. 🙂 I recently housesat for some friends who had a bunch of cute animals to take care of – goats, chicks, chickens, and a dog and cat. (Well, and fish. But no pictures of the fish or the cat for some reason.) I hope you guys enjoy scrolling through these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them for you!

Let’s start with the goats. This is Nutmeg. Say hi, Nutmeg!

Look off into the distance, Nutmeg! (Does anyone else think goat’s eyes are slightly creepy?)

Look wise and learned, Nutmeg! (I’m not sure why I’m writing the captions this way… perhaps I should stop. 😛 )

HAHAHA this photo… I have a hard time looking at it for a while without laughing. You feel me? NUTMEG WHAT ARE YOU DOING…?

Okay, fine, I will preserve your dignity and put in a respectable photo of you eating grain. Better?

While Nutmeg finished up her grain, Spotty Joe (or is it Little Joe?) was trying to find a way back in.

This little guy is adorable. Extremely mischievous and stubborn, but adorable.

The intrepid explorer sets out in search of coveted grain from the human!

Grain from the cup…?

Grain in the hay pile?

HUMAN WHY NO GRAIN?

He was not impressed with how set I was on following the instructions which clearly stated he shouldn’t get more than a few crumbs of grain. Poor guy.

Anyway, we shall leave the two goats reunited in their pen and move on to the chickens. Such pretty feathers they have!

“Who is this shadow-maker who blocketh the sun from my eyes? Curious, very curious…”

“Who is this black-box-clicker who dares to point the… thing at me?”

“Actually… wait. Wait. Are you… are you admiring me?”

“Well then. By all means, click away. Here, get my best side. They’re all my best side, obviously, but you haven’t tried this angle yet. Yes, yes, very good. Very good. Now- HEY WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?”

Sorry, rooster. I need to end the chicken section of the post with an idyllic photo of… I think they’re probably pecking at the plum pits I spit out on the ground. 😛

Now for Shadow, the dog. Why do black dogs have to be so hard to photograph…?

Now she’s a black and white dog. 😉 She also looks like a very sad dog here…

This must be her “I’m patiently awaiting the time when you finish the chores and we can go back inside” face.

And this is her happy face. Aw, I love this one. She’s a very cheerful pup except when she doesn’t get enough attention for her liking. Then she’s a sad one.

Last but not least, we have the chicks! They had a bunch more chicks in two other boxes, but these were the youngest and cutest. 😉

I forgot how extremely fluffy and adorable new chicks are, ah.

THE CUTENESS. It’s hard to hold a chick and not feel happier.

Okay now I really want to hold this guy again.

“I BELIEVE I CAN FLYYYY.”

*sad music as reality hits*

We shall end with… you know, I have no idea whether this is the same chick I’ve been photographing above or another one. Oops. Sorry, little guy, but I can’t keep you and your friends apart! No wonder you’re glaring at me.

Well, that’s all I have for you today! I took a ton of pretty nature photos from their beautiful yard, but we’ll save those for another post. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this cuteness collection! You guys have an excellent week, alright?

Which animals did you like best? Do you have any pets?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

Wow! Look a tall the beautiful animal babies and great shots of them!! I love them all!
Look at the billy goat with the beard, and I sport one myself so I could get along with that rascal fine in his pen or out of it!

I love chicks and I mean the feathered ones!!! Look how adorable and precious!
My heart melts for the black lab!!! I had one up till a few years back that I found kicked out at about one year old, and a pack of coyotes had been in the area when I came along that night and rescued him; like a God Send! My heart broke so bad when he passed! But, it’s all in God’s hands now and I’ll see him again someday!

This is such beautiful work and life here, that I’m going to try reblogging it now!!! Thank you and God bless y’all!
