Hello friends!
Today I have a cozy Christmas playlist to share, including some songs that might be new to you. The music is accompanied with some lovely frosty photography since it hasn’t snowed here yet. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite lyrics from the songs as well as links to YouTube videos, plus my Spotify Christmas playlist at the end of this post if you want to check out more of my holiday favorites.
Enjoy this simple and festive post!

Just a Girl // Brandon Heath
Just a babe
Just minutes old there trembling in the hay
Staring at his mother in the face
She’s just a girl

Emmanuel // Hannah Kerr
It was no mistake that He arrived
Lost without a home
Helpless as a baby
So if we’re feeling lost in our own lives
We are not alone
He has felt the same things

He Shall Reign Forevermore // Matt Maher
Unto us a child is born
The King of kings and Lord of lords
And He shall reign forevermore, forevermore

I Need a Silent Night // Amy Grant
I need a silent night, a holy night
To hear an angel voice through the chaos and the noise
I need a midnight clear, a little peace right here
To end this crazy day with a silent night

Something About December // Christina Perri
Let all your memories hold you close
No matter where you are
You’re not alone
Because the ones you love are never far
If Christmas is in your heart

Silent Night/It Came Upon a Midnight Clear // Switchfoot
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, Lovе’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace

I Saw Three Ships // David Arkenstone
{a beautiful instrumental song & album}

Winter Snow // Audrey Assad
You came like a winter snow
Quiet and soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

The Christmas Waltz // Laufey
It’s that time of year
When the world falls in love
Every song you hear seems to say
“Merry Christmas
May your New Year dreams come true”

Ave Maria (The Song for Mary) // Jason Gray
You carried hope and a promise
You carried shame and disgrace
Which was the heavier burden
That drew lines in a little girl’s face?

On Christmas Day (Ave Maria) // Smalltown Poets
Let the children joy
Let the wise men pray
For peace upon the earth
This Christmas day

How Many Kings // Downhere
Cause how many kings stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
And how many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that is torn all apart?
How many Fathers gave up their Sons for me?

God Is With Us // Casting Crowns
I feel compelled to tell all who will listen
That peace on earth is not so out of reach
If we can find grace, mercy and forgiveness
He has come to save, He is all of these

Hope of Israel // Michael W. Smith
{a beautiful instrumental song}

I’ll Be Home for Christmas // Phillips, Craig, & Dean
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I’ll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams

Our God Is With Us // Steven Curtis Chapman
But for all of us who journey
Through the dark abyss of loneliness
There comes a great announcement
“We are never alone”
For the One who made each heart that breaks
The Giver of each breath we take
Has come to earth
And given hope its birth

That’s all for today! If you want some beautiful reflections/devotions inspired by Christmas songs, check out my husband’s blog here. He’s posting about the last song in this post tomorrow. 🙂
Also if you’d like to see my whole Christmas playlist for this year, check it out below. (You may need to be on my website to see it properly.)

I love the song How Many Kings! My sister, friend and I sang it for our church’s Christmas program.
I’ve been listening to for King and Country’s A Little Drummer Boy Christmas album a lot. Do You Hear What I Hear? is beautiful. Let’s Go Christmas Caroling by Luke Langman is also one of my favorites.
Merry Christmas!

I haven’t heard lots of these suggestions and am excited to add them to my Christian Christmas playlist! For some reason the Spotify playlist isn’t showing up, even on your website 😕 Thank you for this beautiful aesthetic post 😊

Thanks for sharing! I really like the song How Many Kings, though I listen to it by Master’s Voice. I also love the song Come Make a Place in Me by Master’s Voice, which is mayybe more of your style than some of the music I listen to. 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VyqncFU648
Another winter/Christmas song I really enjoy is Irish Sleigh Ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTZiuvzcJVQ
Do you ever listen to Taryn Harbridge’s violin instrumentals on YouTube?
