Despite how long it’s been since one of these posts, I actually have a normal number of photos to share with you instead of an overwhelming horde! Today’s collection of random pictures includes a large amount of flowers and sunsets and other glowy things. Enjoy. ❤

Nature
You can’t go wrong with a good camera in my mom’s flower garden at golden hour. The colors and light in this shot are so soothing.

This picture made years-ago-me so excited for the bokeh in the background. I used to be obsessed with capturing that pretty blur. 😛

I found a fallen bird’s nest on my neighborhood walk one day. Nests are a marvelous contrast of casual mess and intricate design.

Simple leaves and saplings made a stunning photo with this contrast of shadow and sun.

You can tell I took this picture many months ago – this tree still has its lush spring-green tint. So fluffy!

Much less lush but still interesting, this spiky bush was growing in Outer Banks when we went to visit.

Mom put together these pots for Megan’s wedding and I think they’re still growing by the barns now.

I always put bouquets in this spot in my kitchen because it catches the afternoon light so perfectly. These poppies leftover from Megan’s wedding inspired many pictures. Such gorgeous fiery delicacy!

The pretty little details. ❤

More wedding weekend photos. Honorary sisters posing for me. 😀

My SIL has had her baby since this picture, I’m about to have mine, and my other SIL will have her twins in another month! So many cute kids. 🙂

I generally think it’s a shame to make flower pictures black and white, but they fit so well with this grayscale portrait of Megan.

Sweet friends on a very memorable green truck ride from Megan’s bachelorette party. 😀

Now for a non-wedding-related one. This was from July 4th as we waited for fireworks to start with a bridge full of other spectators. I was trying to capture their silhouettes in the headlights and sunset.

My aunt is a photographer so she brought her fancy camera and tripod to take (amazing!) firework shots. The ones I got will be later in the post.

landscapes
Another picture from a neighborhood walk. It’s fun to watch other people’s flowers and landscaping change with the seasons.

My favorite tree in our neighborhood. It’s far too massive to fit well inside my camera frame here, but I wanted to highlight the beautiful vine-covered trunk.

A fiery sunset on the fireworks night. Natural pyrotechnics!

This series of sunset pictures is from our Florida vacation with Sully’s family. The sunset was so colorful and brilliant, ahhh!

One night at my family’s house I tried to capture some long-exposure firefly pictures, which didn’t turn out the greatest. I had to use a car hood instead of a tripod and couldn’t get my camera to focus well in the dark. But these two shots are still mildly neat-looking!

Etcetera
I’ve taken quite a few pictures of this dining room spot by now; it’s so peaceful in the morning light.

Here are a few of the fireworks pictures I got on July 4th. I’m pretty happy with them for not having brought a tripod along!

String lights on a foggy morning at my family’s farm. ❤

We’ll end with a random footprint from one day when I was walking barefoot in the dew for another photoshoot. 🙂

I hope those photos brought some light and beauty to your day! It’s always fun to look back at the miscellaneous pictures I’ve collected over the past few months; it turns out almost like a scrapbook of seasons and memories.
Which photo(s) did you like best?
Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

Such a great collection of photos, Allison! I especially love the sunset ones as I’m so very fond of them. Each time I see one I take it as a gift from God. 🙂
Gorgeous poppies in the sunlight! Another example of God’s beauty! I also really liked picture #4 with the leaves surrounded by shadow and yet the light shines on them.
Thanks for sharing these cheerful pictures with us, friend! May God bless you!
