Our friends host a huge fall party every year with fun family games, yummy treats, and plenty of opportunities for memory-making. I always take pictures, though this year I didn’t cover it quite as thoroughly since I was also taking care of my baby. 🙂 Sophia did well with the noise and being passed around to lots people, although her naps were rather lacking.
I took TONS of pictures of course, but I’m leaving out most of the portraits of people I don’t know just in case they don’t want to be on my blog. 😉 Enjoy these shots of chickens and sunsets + cute little kids!

This year two big pipe slides provided extra entertainment for the kids – and some cool photo ops!

I love this one despite the blur. The dust is epic.

Sophia chillin’ on the pavilion swing with her dad.

A group of ladies were putting together a custom puzzle of one of my photographs from a past fall fest. So fun!

The girls from church all wanted matching face painting: a cute little acorn and leaf motif.

Many beautiful mums and pumpkins!

Such a classic picture.

They had a sandbox set up and covered with a tent, which was enjoyed by these cute little girls.

Jeff was in charge of hay rides with the oldest (and most unused) tractor on my family’s farm. It still worked great!

Sophia enjoying some quality time with her Aunt Chessie. 🙂

There’s a pie contest every year and the entries are always amazing. Like, these kids (and adults) could be professional bakers. I snuck into the house where the judging was going on so I could get a few shots.

You know you’re on a homestead when there are random chickens running around, heh.

This cutie really wanted to pet a chicken, but they weren’t cooperating for her.

One of the hens picked a very picturesque spot to perch.

I just love these shots. Such a perfect old-fashioned farm aesthetic.

The games included a group tug-of-war and a hay bale toss. My siblings did amazing, probably because they live on a farm which runs a hay business. 😛

Jeff was the ultimate champion (to no one’s great surprise), throwing his bale a whopping 31 feet! For reference, most of the other guys were in the 15-22′ category. I was very proud of him. 😀

As the day went on, clouds started to cover up the sun and bring down the temperature to a chilly fall feel. The day ended in a lovely sunset.

I couldn’t resist this shot of the pretty string lights hanging out with the moon. 🙂

It was a lovely time of catching up with old friends and watching the games and dancing (although we didn’t stay for much dancing because Sophia was quite tired). I hope you enjoyed looking through a few of the moments I captured!
Which picture(s) did you like best?
Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

What a wonderful friends and family time! Your partner and your little babe look beautiful! I think my favorite picture is of the little girl going after the chicken that looks like it might be avoiding her. Happy Thanksgiving! I love this season!

I’d say your friends know how to throw a good party!!! I like how they have activities for different age groups.
Aww, I’m sure Sophia was the attention-getter that day! She’s so cute! 🙂
Goodness, all the pictures look great- how can I choose one?!?
I didn’t know there were custom puzzles-that’s so neat that your photo is on a puzzle! I like the girl on the wooden swing. It took me back to when I was a little girl on my grandparents’ farm. I wasn’t the happiest living there, but that swing brought lots of joy. 🙂
Thank you for the cheerful photos, Allison! May God bless you and your dear family!

They sure do! There’s always something new and fun each year. Yeah, it’s nice to have a variety of family-friendly and age-group divided events.
Hehe she definitely got a lot of attention. And got to meet some other cute babies.
Yeah isn’t that fun? Aww, thanks for sharing that swing memory. ❤ And thanks for the lovely comment! Blessings to you too.
