Hand Lettering Inspiration {Recent Bible Journaling}

Hello, my friends!

It’s time for another word art post! I just finished another Bible journal, which means I filled up another notebook with favorite verses. I’m currently going through the Bible one chapter at a time and copying down my favorite verse from each chapter in a notebook. The idea is to write them out in pretty lettering so I’ll have a beautiful collection at the end, but sometimes the lettering is… well, legible and that’s it. 😛 I love how a lot of these turned out, though.

I hope you guys enjoy some of my favorite pages and verses from this notebook! And click here to see my last Bible journaling post.

A Tour of My Sketchbook {April 2021}

Hello, my friends!

I’m super excited to show you this sketchbook flip-through because I love how so many of the paintings in it turned out! I mostly used this sketchbook for watercolor/gouache artwork, but you’ll find a few graphite sketches and ink drawings too.

I feel like these posts are pretty self-explanatory, so… let’s just get into it. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some art! 😀

How to Make an Etcetera Journal

Hello, dears!

So, I’ve been working on my journal for months without knowing what it is, exactly. Hehe. It’s sort of a cross between a scrapbook, junk journal, art journal, and… something else. So I decided to call it an “etcetera journal” since that pretty much encompasses the anything-goes flavor of my process. 😀

Today I wanted to talk about etc. journaling as a unique way to preserve memories + a super fun way to be creative even if you don’t consider yourself “artistic.” I have a bunch of spreads to show you, from favorite quotes to simple collages to fun sketches and artwork. Ready for some journaling inspiration? Let’s go!

Inktober 2020 Sketchbook Tour

Hello, dears!

It’s time for another Inktober flip-through! If you’re not familiar with Inktober, the original idea is an art challenge where you make an ink drawing every day for the whole month, using prompts from an official list. See my last Inktober post here.

And that’s what I did! Today I’ll be showing you my 31 ink drawings/paintings in my toned paper sketchbook. I experimented with different styles and techniques and made some art I’m proud of and some I could have done better on… 😛

Ready to see it? Let’s go!

Planner vs. Bullet Journal: Which Is Better?

Hello, dears!

As you guys might know, I’ve used and loved bullet journaling for a long time – at least since 2017. But I decided that I’m not going to use a bujo next year. O.o Instead, I’m going to use a planner… that I designed!

In this post, I shall go through some pros and cons for each system, plus I’ll show you what I’m using in 2021 and why I decided to stop bullet journaling. My posts are normally more fun than helpful, but we’ll see what I can manage this time. 😉

So, shall we see which type of planner would work best for you??

Sketchbook Paintings & More Recent Art

Hello, dears!

I recently posted a tour of my main sketchbook, but I also have a couple of other sketchbooks I’ve been working on since… goodness, I think this was the last post I did on them, which… OH MYYY, I just realized it’s been one year to the day since that post! Ha, goodness! So anyway, I thought it was high time to give you guys a peek into my Illo sketchbook and some other drawings I’ve made recently(ish). 🙂

As always, I hope this post can give you some inspiration to create your own art if you like drawing – or simply brighten your day with pretty pictures if not. 🙂 I’ll also try to link the supplies I used if you want to try them out for yourself. Enjoy, my friends!

Hello, dears!

Yayyyy, an art post! These make me so excited that it’s hard to refrain from ending the title with an exclamation point. 😛 I still have three or four blank pages in this sketchbook, but I figured that was close enough to make a post on it. 😉 I mostly filled this sketchbook with gouache and watercolor paintings, but added a few sketches and some different art mediums too.

Okay, let’s get to this huge load of art! I hope you guys enjoy and can find some inspiration for yourself!

100 Questions to Ask Your Pen Pal

Hello, dears!

I’m super excited for this post! (How unusual. 😛 ) One of my readers recently requested I write about pen pal questions, so here we are. Asking/answering questions in letters (or in life!) helps you connect with and get to know someone better, plus, pro tip: including questions is one secret to making your letters a lot longer and more interesting. 😉 For some of my pen pals, we insert a list of questions in the letter, and for others, we just ask questions as they come up about whatever subject we’re on.

Today I’m going to give you a ginormous list of 100 questions to ask your pen pal – some serious, some funny, all across a variety of topics and categories. If you’re at a loss for what to write, try some of these! I’ll also stick in a little happy mail/envelope art inspo along the way. 😉 Alright, let’s do this!
