The Warm and the Fuzzy: Part 1

Hee hee, I love that title. XD

My camera is loaded down with adorable pictures of bunnies, kittens, puppies, and other cute things. You’re going to get several doses of cuteness because I have too many pictures to fit in one post! Today I shall begin with bunnies.

Ahem. (Note: I edited most of these pictures.)

Willow:

This is a sneak peek of next Warm and Fuzzy post. (Hint, it hast to do with an animal that starts with “c” and is in both of these pictures. 😛 )

AWWWW THAT’S SO CUTE!

Did you like it? Let me guess… yes! 😀 What was your favorite picture? Who was your favorite bunny?

P. S. I wanted to do the room makeover post today, but we weren’t quite finished with our decorations. Hopefully tomorrow!

Pool!

I had a lot of fun taking these pictures on one of our trips to our neighbor’s pool. I love swimming! (And photography.)

My siblings and cousins were trying to throw each other off the inner tube. XD Very splashy indeed!

I love this one where my cousin is falling back into the water. It looks so neat!

Victory!

Pool water is so pretty.

-Allison(pool) 002 (1024x768)

I love these next pictures! I dripped water into the pool and took pictures of the splashes. Aren’t the bubble-pockets so neat?

-Allison(pool) 106 (1024x768)
Look at that perfect bubble in the middle! LOVE IT!

I also really like this picture of my brother swimming.

Here are some more action pictures:

Last but not least, one of our neighbor’s dogs! I think his name is Biscuit.

-Allison(pool) 107 (1024x768)

There you are, folks! Which photo was your favorite? Have you ever taken pictures at the pool? Do you like swimming? (That was kind of a “duh” question. XD )

P. S. Are you getting tired of photography posts yet? I take lots of pictures and love sharing them with you, but I also want to post about more than one category. If you are getting tired of one kind of post or have suggestions for my blog, I’d love it if you’d take my blog survey! I’m not promising anything drastic, but perhaps the survey will tell me how I can up the enjoyment level just a bit for you. 🙂 (By the way, this is the same survey as I did a while ago, just so you know. 😉 )

Waterfalls and Bear Paws

Last week we went on a gorgeous (and rather tiring) hike with some friends. It included lots of water and waterfalls. Perfect!

Note: I edited some of these pictures. 😀 Just making sure you weren’t like, “WHOA, how does Allison take that good of pictures in a badly lit-forest?” Well yeah, I don’t. 😛

Ooh, so shiny.
waterfall 7 (768x1024)
I love this one!

Along the path there was this gorgeous waterfall hidden away in a little hollow. It felt like a private picnic spot or something. So pretty!

Look at all of this liquid energy! Churning, frothing, bubbling water. Ahh…

I really like this picture of mountain laurel. BOKEH! XD

-Allison(hike) 119 (1024x768)

Meet our friends’ dog, Penny, who swam around in the river a couple of times. She was awfully hard to get a picture of. XD

-Allison(hike) 127 (1024x768)

Guess what? We saw THREE black bears on our hike! There are bears where I live, but it’s very rare (for us at least) to see one. So we were super excited to get to see three on one hike! They were pretty cute. 😀 They didn’t even seem to notice us, even though the first one was fairly close to the path. I got some rather bad quality videos and pictures, but at least you can see the bears on them.

-Allison(hike) 010 (1024x768)-Allison(hike) 008_Moment (1024x576)

-Allison(hike) 148 (1024x768)
I’m pretty sure the cub is drinking milk from its mother in this photo. Isn’t it funny how the mama bear is sprawled out all nice and comfy (or not) on the ground?

I was going to add a GIF, but it took too long and wasn’t very good anyway. Heh heh, so much for that. XD I might show you some bear videos in a post later.

Have you ever seen a bear? Do you like hiking? What was your favorite picture in this post?

***Allison***

P. S. CutePolarBear, it’s your turn for WordCrafters! Visit the WordCrafters 2 page to read the story so far. GO WORDCRAFTERS! 😀

P. P. S. Wanna hear something funny? You know the Baby Changing Station thingies in public bathrooms? Once I saw one where the “C” had been scraped off the sign, so it read: “Baby hanging Station.” How awful! (But you have to admit, still hilarious. XD )

Of Kittens and Cuteness

Calm down, calm down, guys. I can’t type when you’re squealing like that. XD All right, all right, I’ll show you the pictures.

(Note: most of these pictures are edited because kittens are just a teensy bit hard to photograph sometimes. 😉 )

Ahem. We shall start with our own dearest Casey. SHE IS SO CUTE! If she’s cute in pictures, she’s even more adorable in real life! (See more pictures of her here.)

casey 1 (1024x768)

Stttttretch!

Casey can be quite the deep sleeper. Mom picked her up like this and Casey didn’t bat an eyelash. Well, she doesn’t have eyelashes, but still…

“How ya’ doin’, folks? Shake a paw.”
Casey 2 (1024x768)
And off she goes.

Now for some really tiny, just-born kittens! Megan found them in the cow barn. The lighting was really bad so my pictures aren’t anything gorgeous, but at least you can see their little selves! There were five kittens in this litter.

kitten 1 (1024x768)

kitten 2 (1024x768)
This little guy is all white!

And last but not least, an adorable VERY FLUFFY black and white kitten! My siblings say there were other kittens, but this is the only one that I have seen. Maybe I can get more pictures of this guy’s brothers and sister if we can ever find them.

edit 2 (1280x960)
He looks relaxed here, but he normally wasn’t. XD
edit (1280x960)
IS THAT NOT THE CUTEST FACE? Sorry Casey. 😛 Casey definitely has a sweeter personality than this kitten, but just look at his FACE! Those eyes! 😀 (By the way, this is one of the photos that I edited.)

That was a lot of kittens! We know of at least three litters of barn kittens on our farm currently, and then we have Casey and Jinx, our kitten and cat.

Did you survive the cuteness tidal wave? If you’re still in good health, what was your favorite picture(s)?

BIBPC #3: Doggie Nose

I know we were supposed to post our BIBPC pictures by yesterday, but Megan gave us a sort of bonus day because she thought the deadline was the 27th instead of the 26th. 😀 Yesss!

In case you’re wondering what BIBPC is, it’s a fun photo contest that my sister Megan is doing. BIBPC stands for Boring Into Beautiful Photography Contest. (Read about it here.)

The theme this time was Textures. Here’s my picture:

-Allison(arboretum) 050 (2) (1280x960).jpg

Story behind the picture: This is a photo of our friends’ dog, Snoopy. They recently got an ADORABLE Miniature Schnauzer puppy! I took this picture while he was resting on my friend’s lap during an Arboretum trip. This picture kind of has two textures: his nose and his fur. Such a cute wittle nosy-wosy, yes it is! XD XD Dogs’ noses have a really neat texture, don’t they?

Sorry this was such a short post. 😦 I have an AAWC post, Flower Overload Part 2, and a craft post planned for later. Until then!

BIBPC Entry #1: Baby Killdeer

I’m participating in my sister Megan’s fun photo contest, Boring into Beautiful Photography Contest, or BIBPC. (Read about it here.) The first prompt was “Little Things.” So here’s my little thing: an adorable baby killdeer!

Story behind the photo: We were going up to gather eggs when my brother told us that there were baby killdeer over by the creek. I rushed down to the house to get my camera, and when I came back, Megan was holding one of the babies in her hand! He was so warm and fluffy and tiny! Baby killdeer look hilariously cute because they have such long, gangly legs. We played with him a little bit, took pictures, then put him back. I’m sure the poor distracted mother was wondering what strange machines we were pointing at her little baby. XD But not to worry, we returned him safe and sound. And I captured some cuteness for you with my “strange machine.” XD (But let me tell you, this little guy was really hard to take pictures of – he was FAST!)

This is the photo I’m entering for BIBPC:

DSCN2859 (1280x960)
 ♥ Look how tiny! ♥

And here are several more pictures for your enjoyment. 🙂

DSCN2860 (1280x960)

DSCN2868 (1280x960)
He’s hiding behind a grass blade – if he can’t see us, we can’t see him… right? XD

This next picture makes him look even tinier and long-legged-er. (I think this was the first lil’ guy’s sibling.)

DSCN2863 (1280x960)

This next row of pictures are stills from a video I took. GAAHHH he’s so cute! Look at his huge feet in the third picture. XD (He reminds me of S. Q. Pedalion from The Mysterious Benedict Society. XD )

Have you ever seen killdeer? They are rather strange birds. They make their nests on the ground – sometimes right in the middle of the road! Their eggs blend in with the gravels, which is good because predators can’t see them, and bad because people in cars can’t see them. 😦 (See another post I did about baby killdeer here.)

Gone Fishing

On Friday we went fishing at our uncle’s pond with some friends and family. Here are a few pictures of his pond:

-Allison(arboretum) 052 (1280x960)
It’s a lot bigger than this, but my camera only fit this much from where I stood.
-Allison(arboretum) 057 (1280x960)
A zoomed in picture of sheep on the hillside. Aren’t the little lambs so cute? ♥
-Allison(arboretum) 054 (1280x960)
My sister kayaking (with a dog in the background). 🙂

I love fishing! I caught two fish (a bass and a perch), but the bass was too small so we had to put him back and let him grow. 😦 But my brother got a nice big bass, and my grandaddy got a humongous catfish! It was so exciting! It took a long time to reel him in, but we finally did (with the help of a metal rake since we didn’t have a net XD ). And guess what? He was almost two feet long!! Seriously, he was about 22 or 23 inches! Catfish may get a lot bigger than that, I don’t know, but it was sure huge to us. We normally just catch little 6-8 inch perch.

And now you’re waiting for the fish pictures, right? *Sniff* I didn’t take any pictures of the fish. WHAT?! I know, I know, I’m with you there. But it we were so excited when we got the catfish, and by the time we thought of taking a picture, he was already cut up and cleaned. Megan got a picture of the fish head just for proof, but it wasn’t too pretty… so… okay, let’s move on, shall we? XD XD

I DID get some pictures of the pond at sunset, however.

And these are two edited versions – I especially love the first one:

Ahhh… sunsets are delightful, aren’t they?

***Allison***

P. S. I have so many photos I want to post, but it seems that’s like all I’ve been posting about lately. That’s okay with me because I love photography… but I don’t want to post photos so much that you start yawning from boredom. 😉 I’m working on a survey so you can tell me which your favorite kind of post is. Until then! XD ♥

Reflections at the Pond

I took these pictures on a gorgeous clear spring morning. I was getting milk from the dairy, and the pond was too beautiful to resist! The water was glassy and calm, and the reflections in the water were almost perfect! The reflection of a Canada goose swimming about looked especially neat. (We have a pair of geese nesting at our pond. Yay!)

First, a couple of flowers from around the pond: (Click to enlarge.)

Next, the stunningly beautiful barbed wire fence. XD Just kidding!

-Allison(pond, geese) 008 (1280x960)
Bokeh!

Now some pond scenery:

-Allison(pond, geese) 001 (1280x960)-Allison(pond, geese) 010 (1280x960)

-Allison(pond, geese) 011 (1280x245)
This panorama really bent the pond. Now it looks like a boomerang!

-Allison(pond, geese) 017 (1280x960)

And now for the geese! The mother goose was sitting still as a statue on her nest by the pond. She looks rather wary.

-Allison(pond, geese) 026 (1280x960)

And here’s the father, keeping guard. 😀 Isn’t his reflection neat?

And more reflections…

-Allison(pond, geese) 022 (1280x960)
An underwater tree? 😀 I really like this picture.

-Allison(pond, geese) 012 (1280x960)

WAIT! Did any of you notice something wrong with those pictures? You should have! All of that last chunk of photos except for the first three were upside down reflections! Some of the reflections were so smooth that you could hardly notice, but some of them just didn’t look right (like the last one). Heh heh. Did you notice that or not?

See ya’ later! ♥

Photos from of Old: Entry 3

About time for another one of these, eh? These photos were taken in the summer of 2013.

First some snail pictures… (I remember I was pretty proud of these when I took them. XD And I still like them!)

Carmen is a rainbow!

I requested my siblings to pose for this one; I think I meant it to look similar to the last photo. They look so cute and tiny (well, younger at least XD) in this photo!

P. S. Recently my littlest sister Carmen has been determined to learn how to fly. XD XD XD She asks Mom if it’s possible for people to fly, and Mom explains that God just didn’t make humans to able to fly. But she thinks that maybe she’ll be the first person ever to do it! XD XD XD It cracks me up! But it’s adorable too. 😀 Hey, we all wish we could fly, right? One can always dream…

P. P. S. I have 111 followers! Besides the fact that that’s amazing, and “Thank you so much guys,” (but seriously – THANK YOU!), isn’t 111 such a fun number?! XD
