Heh heh, I know this is rather late for a summer post, but hey, we haven’t fallen too far into autumn yet, right? (See what I did there?) Anyway, I loved Clara’s summer recap post, so I decided to do one of my own!
Here’s a recap of this summer’s happenings in pictures.
Raising and selling a litter of darling baby bunnies. ♥
Taking a lovely trip to Assateague and Chincoteague Island.
Writing and illustrating letters.

Helping out at a wedding.
Celebrating fourth of July with family. (Photo credit to my aunt.)
Going camping in tents with cousins and grandparents.
Meeting new people and making new friends.
Hatching swallowtail butterflies.

Having simply splendid time at Amelia Island with friends.
Finally watching Star Wars. 😛

Megan’s birthday (which included a water balloon fight).
Family reunions.
Making memories. ♥
It was a lovely summer. 🙂 I had a lot of fun but I also learned a lot, I think more in practical knowledge than book knowledge. It’s been good.
How was your summer?
***Allison***
Awesome pictures! It seems like you had an amazing summer! Do you have any nature photography tips? Thanks! 😋

Thank you! I did have a great summer!
Okay, well of course it helps to have a good camera. 😉 If you have a DSLR, use a lens specifically designed for photographing little things. Almost everything looks pretty at the golden hour, the time when it’s almost sunset but not quite, you know? Good lighting REALLY helps to make good photos. And photograph anything and everything! Notice the little details that most people pass by and capture their beauty. 🙂
I hope that helps!

Sounds like an AMAZING summer!!
We went on a bunch of travel. China for three weeks, East Coast for two weeks, and then we went camping for three days.
It was really a very, memorable summer, especially seeing a Broadway shows and some really famous paintings!
We also sent my brother off to college, (as I told you in an email) and..well…yeah!
Alas, poor Clementine. 😦 😦 😦 :,(.
Did you like Starwars?
LikeLike
Yes, it was great! 😀
WOW, that IS a bunch of travel. O.o It sounds so fun! How was China?
It sure sounds memorable! That’s so neat!
Oh yeah. O.o
*Sniff* I know.
Well some of them I hated and some of them I really liked. Actually most of them I didn’t like that much except for The Force Awakens, which I liked a good bit because it actually had a story instead of just constant BAM BAM BAM. XD Do you like Star Wars?

Haha, it was!
China was really cool!! Most of the time was just visiting relatives, which is very important. 🙂
Haha! Hmm, I only liked some. I absolutely DETESTED the prequels, and the 4th one, I think the last three were my favorites.

Neat!
Ha ha, yeah, some were definitely better than others, and some were hardly worth watching. XD

Exactly! Also, out of curiousity, what theme do you use? My previous theme got removed by WordPress, so now I’m theme-searching!

I use the Penscratch theme. 🙂 Aww, that’s a bummer.

Wow, I love all the outdoor activities!!!! And just saying, you got WAY better pictures of the eclipse than I did!! Did you take them though a welding helmet, or is that strait? You are such a good photographer!!!
LikeLike
Yes! Summer is great for outdoor activities. 🙂 Ha ha, well thanks. I thought they were okay until I looked at some other people’s pictures and then I was like… nope. XD Anyway, yes! I did take them through welding glass. Aww, thank you so much, dear!

Yeah, some people can really take good picture of the moon…like just even the moon! Yeah, I can’t. :,) And we actually have a really good camera! oh well. I can remember it. 🙂

Ha ha, yeah. XD I can actually take a decent picture of the moon, but I have never gotten a good star picture. I really want to, though! Do you have a DSLR or what kind of camera do you have? And yeah, at least we can remember things. 🙂

That’s good!!! Our’s is a Canon Rebel T6i, EOS 750D: no idea which number makes the camera good, but it was expensive, so…. XD Yes, that is really nice.
LikeLike
Ohh okay! I’ve heard that those are really good! Well anyway, it helps to lower the exposure (lower the ISO, up the shutter speed, and up the aperture) to take good moon pictures, at least that works for me! Does your camera have a manual setting?

Ok, thanks! Yes, I believe so….

How do you plan to put the spinner in?
LikeLike
I printed it out, cut it out, and laminated it, then glued it to a circle of cardboard. Then I trimmed a popsicle stick to a point, cut a hole with a box knife through the center of the spinner and popsicle stick, and stuck a brad through both of them. 🙂 Whew, I hope that made sense!
LikeLike
Thanks. It all made sense except, what’s a brad and a box knife.?
LikeLike
Okay, I used a brass brad which is kind of like a pushpin that is split in two at the end, so you can bend it. That’s an awful explanation so here, this is what they are: https://www.amazon.com/ACCO-Plated-Fastener-Fasteners-A7071712/dp/B004LWLQ3I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1505673227&sr=8-4&keywords=brass+brad
And then a box knife is a kind of craft knife you can use to cut cardboard. 🙂 It’s just a blade in a plastic casing.
