Bride & Groom Portraits from Our Wedding

Hello friends!

There were too many good wedding photos to fit in the last post, so today I’ll be sharing some of my favorite wedding portraits taken by our professional photographers. Bride and groom portraits are always so sweet to look at in my opinion, so I hope you guys enjoy these too!

The first portraits the photographers took were a few individuals before the ceremony. We didn’t do a first look, so we didn’t get any photos of Sully and I together yet. I love this one of me with my veil and bouquet on the front porch of my family’s house.Β

I also love this picture of my parents and I! That’s one nice reason to hire a wedding photographer – they beautifully capture your favorite people as well as the memories of the day. I found it funny that we’re all the same height in this photo (which is true in ordinary life too). That’s probably pretty rare, haha.

Here’s Sully looking handsome in his suit, also at the front porch. I didn’t look out the upstairs window while they were taking these pictures since I wanted to wait to see him until the ceremony. πŸ™‚

Allison & Sullivan

My favorite parents-in-law! I love Sully’s family so much and am thrilled to officially be a part of it now. ❀

Allison & Sullivan

Now for the bride and groom portraits! We were in a slight hurry for these pictures because a thunderstorm was approaching, but as I mentioned in the last post, God graciously held off the rain and instead we ended up with a dramatic sky for our photos.Β

Allison & Sullivan

The classic “lift veil and run” picture. So pretty!

Allison & Sullivan

More fun with veils. It’s kinda hard to see in most of these pictures, but I had a few flowers tucked into my hair/the top of my veil as well.

Allison & Sullivan

Sadly we didn’t get to take the golden hour photo I talked about in this post because of the lighting, but honestly I love these just the way they are. Isn’t this one lovely?

Allison & Sullivan

This one is cute. πŸ˜€ We both look happy yet peaceful here.

Allison & Sullivan

I think I’m going to order a print of this because it always makes me smile.

Allison & Sullivan

Definitely ordering a print of this one! Haha, this seems to be one of everyone’s top favorites. I feel like it sums us up pretty well – Sully being cute and sweet and me being extremely happy. πŸ˜›

Allison & Sullivan

It’s kinda hardΒ not to smile hugely on your wedding day, but I appreciate this softer, quieter picture where we’re a little less enthusiastic.

Allison & Sullivan

Hehe Sully is so cute. Ooh look, you can see the ring on Sully’s hand in this one! He got used to wearing it surprisingly fast.

Allison & Sullivan

This one looks a bit more candid which is fun.Β

Allison & Sullivan

Twirling photos! πŸ˜€ My dress was fun to twirl in but also a little scary since it was so long. Also something about Sully’s pose or suit reminds me of a Jane Austen movie or something…? Not sure why.Β

Allison & Sullivan

Last but not least, a few photos with Dad’s vintage Chevy truck. We used this as our getaway car, driving down the long lane to Sully’s car which we then took for the honeymoon. We got into the truck and everyone cheered… and then Dad had to show us where he put the keys because we couldn’t find them for a while. :’D Anyway, I loooove the vines with the mint green truck in this picture!

Allison & Sullivan

It’s nice to have some pictures without my veil where I look more like I normally do. πŸ™‚ And I like Sully’s outfit with the vest and no suit too for the same reason. We rented suits from Black Tux, bought bowties from Azazie, and ordered my dress from Etsy in case you’re curious. The simple pearl necklace and earrings are both from Etsy as well. You can at least kinda see them in the picture. Sadly I misplaced both after the wedding. 😦

I have to end with one photo not from our wedding photographers because I just love it. This was taken by Sully’s grandma and edited by me. Isn’t it so cute? It’s a good memory because this was almost at the end of the day and it was finally sinking in that we had just gotten married. πŸ™‚

Ah, that was fun. I hope you guys enjoyed this selection of photos from our photographers! They haven’t made a post of their favorites yet, but you can see their post of our engagement photos here or check them out on social media @fredericksphotoandfilms. Otherwise, stay tuned for the next part of the series which is… honeymoon pictures! Lots of palm trees and beaches coming up. πŸ™‚

Which photo(s) did you like best? What kind of dress/suit/bouquet/etc. would you want at your wedding?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

  4. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!
Okay, first of all, one of my favorites just might be the one that your grandma took (and you edited). I just love everything about it.
But they are ALL so classicly beautiful, and they could all be in a magazine.
Also your mom is so beautiful! πŸ™‚

  5. Oh my, what a cute couple the two of you make🌻! I love the first pictures – the white with the little bits of color (especially in your bouquet) – loveβœ¨πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ. The “lift veil and run” pictures are always a winner🌚.
I like the vines and mint too🌼. Especially the vines🧘. And the last picture was just the perfect end to a post that I would’ve loved to be longer 🀭. But I guess I should stop falling in love with your posts πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  6. These photos are so adorable & precious, I love all of them & definitely can’t pick a single favourite.
For my wedding last year, I wore an off white floor length dress, with a sequenced bodice & tulle skirt, Richard wore a blue suit, my flowers were babies breath with red roses & sunflowers, the bridesmaids had bunches of babies breath, my MOH carried a single red rose & the button holes were a single sunflower, Richard & his best man had a sprig of babies breath in with their sunflower, the rose represented my mum who past away in 2018 & the sunflowers represented Richards dad who passed away in 2007.
Thank you for sharing your precious memories with us. Xx
