Sisters Q&A: Part 2

In my last post I did a poll of what post to do next, and you guys chose… Sisters Q&A! So voila! Welcome back to Sisters Q&A part 2.

In case you’re new to this little series, here’s how it works: You guys have asked us questions, and Megan and I are going to answer those questions for the other person. We write our guesses separately, then combine them and see how many we got right. Megan won the first round; let’s see who won this round!

What is your favorite movie soundtrack of all time?

Guess: Maybe Frozen’s.

Answer: Ahh! I don’t know. Frozen has lots of pretty songs… well, they’re pretty until you get them stuck in your head for days. XD

Would you rather have a wardrobe of only neutrals, or only bright colors?

Guess: Bright colors.

Answer: Bright colors. I don’t like black, gray is okay, and I love white, but I wouldn’t want to only wear those colors.

Favorite dessert?

Guess: Coconut cake.

Answer: I love chocolate things! *Slurp* There’s this one chocolate fudge crockpot cake my grandmother makes that is sooo yummy. I also like German Chocolate pie and Lemon Merengue pie… Ooh, and I love egg custard! And chocolate custard! Heh heh.

Cooking or baking?

Guess: Baking.

Answer: Baking, definitely.

Small, cozy house or large, regal mansion?

Guess: Small, cozy house.

Answer: It depends on how small and how large, but probably the small house. For one thing, it would take forever to clean a mansion. XD It just depends on what the houses where like, though.

What picture are you most proud of taking (if you have one)?

Guess: One of the silhouette photos she took of our friends and us on the barn roof.

Answer: I’m really proud of the ones I entered in the fair. Click here to see this year’s fair pictures, and here to see last year’s fair pictures. My favorite ones of all of those are the silhouettes, the snowflake, and the eye. I also really like this one:

Allison(snow, bookmark) 045.JPG
Brr, chilly!

Favorite room in the house?

Guess: Our room.

Answer: Our bedroom is definitely my favorite as far as looks and coziness goes, but I’m usually in the kitchen (it has the computer 😉 ), or the schoolroom.

Favorite book?

Guess: The MBS!

Reading or writing?

Guess: Reading.

Answer: Hmm… I like writing when I’m in the mood, but probably reading.

Have you ever been over seas?

Guess: Nope.

Answer: Nope! But I’ve been to Canada.

What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

Guess: Frog legs.

Answer: Probably canned octopus. 😛 It tasted okay, actually, just kind of like rubbery sardines…

What’s your favorite thing to do?

Guess: Photography, blogging, arts and crafts.

Answer: Blog/be on the computer, draw, or make stuff from polymer clay.

Olivia Bell (aka Livy)

What made you decide to start blogs?

Guess: I think Allison started blogging because I had a blog and my mom had a blog, and probably because it looked like fun. 😛

Answer: I think I started mine because Megan had one and it seemed fun. XD

If you could be an animal for one day, what would it be?

Guess: I don’t know what she’d be. A giraffe? Or perhaps a cat.

Answer: Oh, a bird! Then I could flyeeeee!

Flip flops or boots?

Guess: Boots.

Answer: It all depends on the season. In hot weather, flip-flops, in cold weather, boots.

Who is your favorite singer/band?

Guess: TobyMac… I think.

Answer: TobyMac!

What was your favorite birthday?

Guess: I don’t know. :/ Maybe that year she had the paint-filled balloons that we threw darts at? Or maybe this year when we went hiking in the mountains. Probably this year.

Answer: I honestly don’t know. It was fun when we went fishing that one time…

What is your favorite brand of car?

Guess: She doesn’t really have one, I don’t think. If she had to choose, I think she’d choose Chevy. (But maybe Toyota…)

Answer: Uh… I like Toyota pretty good, but I’m not very learned in the ways of car brands. XD

Would you ever want to swim in an Olympic-sized pool?

Guess: Yep.

Answer: Sure!

Do you browse Amazon/eBay/some other selling website to find things you might like to buy in the future?

Guess: Not often, but maybe occasionally.

Answer: I don’t really browse it for fun, but I do like to look on Amazon when I want to buy a specific thing.

I hope you had as much fun reading that as we had writing it! Wasn’t it hilarious how some of our answers where almost identical? (Well, in a few instances we changed our answer because we saw the other person’s guess after the fact, and agreed with them.)

So… are you ready to see the points? Megan got 15/19 right! She won this round by one point. 😡 XD

Sneak peek of future posts: The Dust Pixies, baby bunny pictures, and Beauty from Ashes!

Sisters Q&A: Part 1

I’m so excited to present this Sisters Q&A! Megan and I are going to answer your questions – but for the other person. So I wrote out my answers on a separate page from Megan’s guesses, and then we combined them like this…

Let’s see how well Megan knows me. 😉 XD

Why do you blog?

Guess: Because I like meeting new bloggers and writing about my life.

Guess: Umm… Refrigerator tag? Well, maybe Psychiatrist.

Answer: Psychiatrist is fun! Have you ever played that?

Answer: Uh… maybe fluzzy? (K. A. made it up – it’s a cross between fluffy and fuzzy, and is very helpful when describing ADORABLE FLUZZY BABY BUNNIES!)

What is a superpower you wished you had?

Guess: Flying.

Answer: Flying! Or else being able to transmit thoughts and feelings to someone else and vice versa.

What color will you dye your hair?

Guess: Red maybe?

Answer: I’m not thinking of dyeing my hair any time soon, but if I did, I might do some purple highlights. (‘Cause PURPLE is amazing.)

If your sister could eat one thing for the rest of her life what would it be?

Guess: Fruit!

Answer: FRUIT!

What is your sister’s favorite thing to do?

Guess: Allison likes art, photography, and blogging.

Answer: Probably blog or be on the computer. 😉 Or else photography, crafts, or reading.

What is your sisters favorite subject in school?

Guess: Nature study.

Answer: Nature Study. I love learning about God’s amazing creation, and drawing the things we learn about in my nature notebook

Does your sister prefer shoes, socks, or bare feet?

Guess: Well, inside, barefeet. Outside (at this time of year) she’d wear flip-flops or barefeet.

Answer: Do you mean outside the house or inside? Inside I prefer bare feet (at least when it’s warm), and outside I prefer shoes.

What do you want to do with your life (AKA a job)?

Guess: Maybe sell things on Etsy?

Answer: Keep selling stuff on my Etsy shop! (But make it into a real business). It would also be fun to be a professional photographer. Or an interior decorator! 😀

Answer: I love molasses crinkles!

Sneakers or boots?

Guess: Boots.

Answer: Boots. (Well, I wouldn’t want to wear them everywhere, but in general I like boots.)

Megan got 15 out of 18 questions right! To see my guesses for Megan, check out her post here.

I hope you enjoyed reading Part 1, guys!

P. S. I made a Facebook account! You can see it here.

My Summer Bucket List

bucket list (640x640).jpg

Quite a few bloggers have done summer bucket list posts lately, and I enjoyed reading them! I thought it would be a good idea to make one myself. Some of the things on my bucket list are just fun things to do, and some are more like personal goals. I am actually going to try to do these things! *Gasp* XD At the end of the summer I will tell you if I accomplished these goals or not. 🙂

1. Read the Bible every day. I’m definitely going to try and do this.

2. Go to a movie theater. Guys, this may shock you, but I have NEVER been to a movie theater! (Well, unless museum theaters count.) But this summer we might possibly go see Finding Dory! We also are probably going to a summer theater thingy where it shows movies that already came out for only $1 a person. I can’t wait!

3. Get more sleep. 😛 Heh heh. 😉 My bedtime goal is to read a chapter of the Bible before I go to bed, and then read other books only if it’s before 10:30. Or maybe Mom could let us sleep in more… Just kidding! XD We do sleep in already.

4. Do stretches more often. I am rather un-flexible. (Well, my elbows are double-jointed (or at least hyper-flexible), but that doesn’t really count. 😛 I can sort of twist them around so they stick out the opposite way. XD Yeah, very weird but true.) Annnnnyway, as I was saying… I hope by the end of the summer I can at least touch my toes! XD

5. Paint and redecorate my room. My sister and I have been wanting to redo our bedroom for a long time. The wallpaper is kind of old and doesn’t really match our bedspreads and decorations. After we paint, I want to redecorate our room with goodies from Hobby Lobby. I LOVE HOBBY LOBBY!

6. Improve my swimming. Especially my endurance and speed. I could practice more if the water wasn’t so cold! XD I do love swimming though. Our neighbor has a nice pool that she very generously lets us use.

7. Watch the Olympics! I love watching the Olympics – especially the gymnastics and swimming. It’s so much fun to eat snacks and watch the Olympics with my family.

8. Cook something weird. Maybe a strange-sounding ethnic dish or just something that I wouldn’t usually try. And then eat it, of course. XD Speaking of weird foods, here is a strangish food my family eats: carrot salad (grated carrots, orange Jello, nuts, celery, and crushed pineapple). It probably sounds really weird, but it’s delicious! Have you tried it before?

9. Decorate cupcakes with friends. My friend and my sister and I want to make one of the recipes in my friend’s special-cupcakes book.

10. Go fishing. I love fishing at my uncle’s pond!

11. Make “masterpieces” from my three favorite mediums. In other words, I want to create something really good from polymer clay, take some really good pictures, and make some really good art.

12. Have a shaving cream fight. This would be so fun! And then wash off and go swim in the pool.

13. Do a photoshoot with friends. I would love to do a fun, creative photoshoot with my friends or family!

14. Add more things to my Etsy shop. I haven’t done much with my Etsy shop lately. I hope to add some new products and even get a few sales over the summer. 😀

15. Take lots of pictures on our vacation. This year we’re going to see Niagara falls and travel up around the Michigan/Great Lakes area. There is going to be lots of water (my favorite!) and I really want to get some good pictures. I’m thinking sunsets on the lakes and definitely photos of Niagara falls. 🙂 Also as a side note: it might be helpful if I don’t ruin my camera this year like I did on our last two vacations! UGH! (Both times it was because of sand. 😦 )

There you go! What is the #1 thing on your summer bucket list? Are you going to do any of the things on my list?

P. S. I have some announcements from around the blogosphere to share with you. 🙂 Rutvi is having a writing contest! Check it out here. Also, Clara is doing a really neat blog scavenger hunt. Definitely go check that out too! (I helped with the prize. *Smug look* XD Ha ha!)

Q & A Part 4 – Finale!

q&a part 4

Phew, it’s been awhile since I posted one of these, but here it is! The last part of Q & A. (See the other parts here.) In case you’d forgotten, I did this Q&A post in celebration of the 100 followers milestone! Whoop whoop!😀 Oh wait – now I have 116 followers. WHOOP WHOOP!!😄 Thank you guys so much! You all asked so many lovely questions that I had to divide the answers into several parts. 😀 And… this is the last! (I’m going to add a few bonus Q & A’s of my own at the end. 😉 )

wizepuppy‘s (Suzy’s) Questions

  1. There is a grizzly bear running towards you, but your life long friend is hanging from a 100 foot cliff. What do you do? Let’s see. If the bear was running really fast, I would run straight toward the cliff, whip around at the last second so he would run over the edge, fly back to rescue my friend, and go home in triumph. Ha ha. No. I have a sneaking suspicion that I would be considerably less courageous than that. XD 😉 I would probably just scream and pray.
  2. Would you rather live in the time of the Great Depression or World War II? Hm… maybe the Great Depression. I don’t think I could survive living through a war like WW2. I’m reading Rilla of Ingleside (it’s really good, by the way!) which is set in the time of World War 1, and it really made me think about how horrible it would have been to live through a World War. You were always waiting breathlessly for the news, and the news often turned out to be terrifying. Every hour of the day would be filled with worry and suspense. And then if  your brother or husband or sweetheart went to war, how terrible that would be to wonder if he would ever return? It makes me so, so thankful that we are not at war.
  3.  What magical power would you want to possess most? I would like to FLY! The age old dream, my friends. 😉 Although it would be so fun to have the skills to make anything I imagined!
  4. Would you rather be the most famous or the richest person in the world? Probably neither. 🙂 But… hmm… maybe the richest? I could do all sorts of things with my money, including helping other people. If I was famous, I would only be, well, famous, and I’ll bet it would get annoying to have fans everywhere trying to get my autograph. XD XD 😀
  5. What would be your death wish? Definitely that I would soon be in Heaven. 🙂

buzzaboutag‘s (Rutvi’s) Questions:

  1. Do you have any siblings? If so, how many? Yep! I have four siblings. This is a list of the kids in our family from oldest to youngest. Me ( 😉 ), Logan (my oldest sibling and brother), Jefferson (my other brother whom we always call Jeff), Megan (my sister who also has a blog), and Carmen (my youngest sister and sibling.)
  2. Do you like pineapples? YES! I love pretty much any and all fruit, although apples and bananas aren’t my favorite because they’re pretty normal.

  1. Favorite season? SPRING! I love spring, when the trees are iced with fluffy blossoms, the grass is getting greener, and new life is popping up all around me! Not to mention that my birthday’s in May. 🙂
  2. Favorite thing to photograph? Little things. Close-up photography is definitely my style. I love capturing the little things in life that we don’t normally notice, and bringing their beauty into the light. It’s like I discover a whole new world when I zoom in my camera lens!
  3. What was your first pet? The first pet that actually belonged to me was Honeybunny, my first rabbit. I posted about her surprisingly few times, poor thing. (Although this post has a few pictures of her in it.) You can see more pictures of her by typing “Honeybunny” in my blog’s search bar.
  4. How long has your family had bunnies for, and who was the first bunny to enter your household? **Edited to add** Oops! My sister reminded me that we actually had a (not so nice) bunny named Nibbles in 2011. He met with a tragic end when a cat got into his cage and ate off his head. 😦 XD XD It was so sad then, but now it’s just hilarious! XD We’ve had bunnies since August 2014. Click here to see a post about when we got them. (*Gasp* No one commented on that post until almost a year later! It’s amazing how much my blog has grown since then – if I published a post like that now and got no comments, I would probably faint or else be seriously concerned that you guys weren’t alive. XD Once again, thanks so much for your comments, guys!)
  5. What was the name of the last unicorn you met? Her name is Alice. (See her here.) And I saw her because… well because I made her. I know, you were expecting me to have met a real unicorn, weren’t you? *Sigh* I am so sorry that I let you down. XD

And that’s all! I had so much fun answering your questions, guys! Thank you so much for asking them! And now I decided to ask myself a few questions, just because. 🙂

  1. Am I right-handed or left-handed? Right-handed.
  2. How tall am I? A little over 5′ 8.” Both of my parents are about 5′ 11.”. 😀
  3. What is my middle name? Marie. It’s my grandma’s middle name, and I really like it. 🙂

There we go! Feel free to answer one of these questions yourself in the comments!

Q & A: Part 3

q & a part 3jpg (1280x1280).jpg

Welcome back! It’s time for another round of Q&A with Allison. (See the other parts here.) In case you’d forgotten, I did this Q&A post in celebration of the 100 followers milestone! Woop woop! 😀 Oh wait – now I have 112 followers. WOOP WOOP!! XD Thank you guys so much! You all asked so many lovely questions that I had to divide the answers into several parts. 😀 So now, without further ado, I present Part 3!

Michaila‘s Questions

1. Do you ever watch the news? If so, who do you want for future president? We hardly ever watch the news, but we do like to watch presidential debates! I’d definitely choose Ted Cruz out of the five remaining candidates. I think his policies are better than the other candidates (because he’s more conservative), and he seems to have a better character than… um, some other candidates. 😉
2. Ever worn bunny slippers?
Hmmm… I think I might have had bunny slippers when I was little, although I’m not sure. XD
3. What are your 5 favorite words?
I recently discovered that I like the word “allele” because it’s really fun to write in cursive. 😀 Look at all those loops! (I learned “allele” in Biology. 😉 It means “A different version of the same gene,” in case your biology was a little rusty. 😀 )

I also like the word “humuhumunukunukuapua’a” which is the Hawaiian name for a reef triggerfish. XD XD Can you imagine saying, “Okay, Mom, I’m off to go humuhumunukunukuapua’a fishing.”? XD In school we also learned about an Egyptian pharaoh named “Apeppi.” I just love saying that – Apeppi Apeppi, Apeppi! XD XD “Onomatopoeia” is also really fun to say… Let’s see, what else? I like the word “luxurious” as in “luxurious green moss” or “luxuriously plush pillows.” Even the word “luxurious” sounds luxurious.

4. What are your 5 favorite Disney characters? I like Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff from Frozen, the Incredible family from The Incredibles, and… well that was already more than five characters, so I’ll stop. 🙂

Clara‘s Questions

1. What was the name of the last unicorn you met? Hee hee! I’ve already answered this in the first part, so you probably already read it, but the name of the last unicorn I met was “Alice.” 😀 (You can see pictures of Alice here.)
2. Worst thing you ever tasted? Hmm… I’m not sure. It likely had something to do with either spicy things or mushroom soup. I do not like spicy things or mushrooms (although they’re okay raw), and I really don’t like mushroom soup! (You know, the sauce in some casseroles.) But for the most part, I’m not a picky eater. 🙂
3. What do you spend most of your time doing in the summer?
Umm… I can hardly remember! Well, here are some of the things I do: read, work in the garden, help can and harvest vegetables, swim at our neighbor’s pool, take walks around our farm with my family, go fishing at my uncle’s pond, watch fireworks, go on vacation, go to the fair (and enter things in it), weed the flowerbeds, and feel hot. 🙂
4. Favorite school subject?
I started to list my favorite ones, but the list was turning out to be pretty much everything. XD The ones I like a lot are Spanish, Math, the reading part of Literature, History (especially because we’re learning about one of my favorite time periods – Ancient Egyptian history!), and Geography. My worst school subject might be writing essays. 😦 I have a hard time starting them up.
5. Dream job?
I’m already doing one of my dream jobs – selling things I create! (On my Etsy shop.) I’m having lots of fun with that. 🙂
6. Favorite cartoon?
Right now the only one I can think of is Tom and Jerry… They are funny, but maybe a little too predictable. 🙂
7. What exotic animal would you like to have as a pet? (Yes, unicorns count. 😉 ) If I wouldn’t have any trouble with where to put it and how to feed it, it would be fun to have a giraffe as a pet. And yes, a unicorn would be fun too. 😉

Abigail and Clara’s Questions (They’re my cousins, by the way. ♥♥)

1. When are you coming to Canada next?  What about… tomorrow! *Sigh* I wish! I don’t know when we’re coming to visit, but I hope soon! Last time we came was really fun. 🙂
2. What are your blog stats? Ooh! That’s a good question! Thus far I have…

  • 203 posts
  • 1,923 visitors
  • And here are two  picture of my stats page. The first one is by year, and the second is by day. stats 1.jpg (2)stats 2.jpgThe first year I blogged for about 7 months, the next year for a whole year, and this year for only 3 months so far, but this year is way ahead on everything! THANK YOU, DEAREST READERS! 😀 ♥

3.How many rabbits DO you have? I personally have 2 rabbits, Willow and Lily, and my siblings have 3 more bunnies: Clementine, Olaf, and Diamond. ♥
4. Can you do another close up picture and guess blog?
Oh yes, I certainly will! I love making them, but I haven’t collected enough pictures quite yet for another mystery pictures post. But don’t worry, there will be more!
5. Do you like photography more than bunnies?
Wow. That’s a hard question. The thing about bunnies is that they’re ALIVE and they’re ADORABLE, but the thing about photography is that you can take pictures that will last for a long, long time, plus it’s super fun. I guess I can’t choose because the two are so different. 🙂 But maybe… just maybe I like photography better, because the happiness and beauty you capture in a picture can be experienced (in a way) over and over again, throughout the years. *Sniff* I’m sorry bunnies – don’t worry, I l♥ve you too! ♥ ♥ ♥
6. How many times have you played I-spy? (Countless?)
I have no idea… XD
7. Would you rather live in a tree or on a roof?
Ooh! In a tree! Well, if it was a treehouse, anyway. That would be so neat! …Except for those times when it stormed, and except for the part about that I probably wouldn’t have air-conditioning or electricity… Um, I’ll take my house. 🙂
8. Would you rather have a ketchup, mayonnaise, hot sauce casserole or a deep fried cricket? XD XD XD Hee hee! Umm, since I don’t really don’t like mayonnaise or hot sauce, I think I’d choose the deep-fried cricket. If it was breaded, you probably could hardly taste it anyway. XD Ewww!

Britt‘s Questions

1. What is your favorite animal? Hmm… I really like bunnies, woodland animals, giraffes, and lots of others. 🙂
2. What are your hobbies? I like to read, make things from polymer clay, blog, photograph, and do pretty much anything craft-related. 🙂
3. Do you like to read? YES!
4. What is your favorite things to write about on this blog? My favorite thing to write about is probably funny pet stories/photostories, but my favorite thing to post about is probably photography. 🙂

That’s it for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me. 🙂

Q & A: Part 2

q & a part 2 poster (1280x1280)

Welcome back for “Q & A with Allison: Part 2!” 😀 As most of you know, I am doing this little question and answer thingy in celebration of the fact that I now have 100 followers!! (Oh, oops – 106 now. YIPPEE! 😀 ) See the first part of Q & A here.

Mercer Creative‘s Questions

1. What’s your favorite thing about living on a farm? Ooh, that’s a good one! Let me do three of my favorite things about living on a farm: I love the nature, the space, and watching the crops grow.

2. Where’s your favorite place? Well, I don’t know if it’s my absolute favorite, but one place I really like is on our farm. We call it Crystal Pond, not because the water is crystal clear (it’s actually kinda muddy), but because there are lots of beautiful crystal quartz rocks scattered on the shore. I like it because there are some of my favorite kinds of nature there – moss, mushrooms, pretty rocks, and water. 🙂 It’s also neat how the pond is kind of sealed off from the rest of the world by a ring of trees and brush. You can see a post I made about it here.

Josie‘s Questions

  1. What’s the name of the last unicorn you met? Okay. This might disappoint you but… the last unicorn I met wasn’t a live unicorn. I know. It’s a shocker, right? Okay, maybe it wasn’t so much of a shocker… XD The last unicorn I met is named Alice. You can see some pictures of Alice right here on my Etsy shop.
  2. What’s your favorite book? Umm… how about a few of my favorites. 😀 A lot of my favorite books are actually series. I love the Narnia series, the Anne of Green Gables series, the Penderwick series, the Little House series, and of course a lot of other books. 🙂
  3. What’s your favorite post you’ve written? Help! This is hard! Umm… in this post, I showed you a few of my favorite photography posts. But some other posts I really like are this weird and wacky eggs post because it showed a part of farm life that not everyone knows about, this WordCrafters post because it was SO fun to do WordCrafters with you all (Thanks, Josie, for helping! We’ll probably do it again in May), this gnome story post because it’s funny and it was fun to make, this snow pictures post because I’m still rather proud of that last picture (XD), and this rose photoshoot post because I’m also still proud of those pictures. Heh heh. That was a few more than my one favorite post, but I just couldn’t choose! XD
  4. Why did you start your blog? Misty asked this question in the last part, and the short answer is, “Because my sister had one and it looked like fun.” 😛

Addy‘s Questions

  1. If you are allowed to, do you watch anime? We don’t really watch TV except for the Olympics (which I LOVE by the way) and political debates, although we do watch movies pretty often. So the short answer is no, not really. 😀
  2. Do you know of any Griffins without a name? 🙂 Uhh… I can’t say that I do because I’m not exactly sure what this question means… 😀 XD
  3. Have you been to Disney world? Nope. And I’m okay with that. 🙂
  4. Would you rather go to England or Paris? Hmm… this is a hard one! It would be fun to see some pretty England countryside, so maybe England.
  5. How many fairy friends do you have? Uhh…? The only fairies in my acquaintance are Belle, Lily, and Scarlett. So three, I suppose. 🙂
  6. Regular potatoes or sweet potatoes? Ooh! I love both. Maybe regular potatoes though, because they can be prepared in so many delicious ways.
  7. Mango or Pineapple? YUMMM! I LOVE FRUIT! Ahem. I love both, but I choose mangoes because we have those less often, and they are simply delicious. 😀
  8. How many followers did you have when you started your blog? Well when I just started I had zero of course, but in the first month or so I only had 1 or 2 followers I think – my sister Megan and my grandparents. Thank you guys! ♥ And thank you all my lovely followers. 🙂
  9. Favorite book genre? I mainly like fantasy fiction (not dark fantasy fiction, though), historical fiction, and everyday adventures fiction – stories like the Penderwicks and Anne of Green Gables which don’t necessarily have a plot, but are more like well-done, interesting fictional accounts of the lives of the characters. I also like biographies, which is probably why I like reading about the lives of fictional characters too.
  10. Did you know that you’re awesome? 😀 Aww, thanks SO much, Addy! That was wonderfully sweet of you to say that. ♥ ♥ ♥

Genna‘s Question

  1. How many times have you hugged a tree? XD Hee hee! I can’t say as I know the exact answer to your question, Genna. XD I’ve certainly leaned on trees a lot of times, but I don’t know how many times I’ve hugged them. I remember one particular time that I did hug a tree – when we went on a trip and saw sequoias and redwoods. Our whole family made a circle and hugged a tree, but we couldn’t reach around it!

K.A.‘s Questions

  1. What was the name of the last unicorn you met? See my answer to Josie’s first question. 🙂
  2. When did you get Willow and when did you get Lily? (She IS yours…isn’t she?) I got Willow in August 2015 (click on the links to see pictures of Willow then and now-ish (she’s the one with fluffy fur)), and Lily in May 2015 (Look how tiny she was: then and now! The “now” link will take you to a post by my sister with a picture of a very large Lily. XD). Yep, they are both my bunnies. ♥
  3. Have you ever kissed a frog? (I seriously did this once when I was like 5!!) Hee hee! That’s hilarious! No, I don’t remember kissing a frog, although it’s possible that I did.
  4. What’s your favorite land animal (s)? How about sea animal? Some of my favorite land animals are bunnies, hedgehogs, and giraffes. Some of my favorite sea animals are whales, dolphins, and starfish.
  5. Do you have a favorite sport? Eh… I don’t really play sports or watch them, so not really. Although I do love swimming, and I love watching gymnastics and swimming in the Olympics.
  6. Are you going to comment the answers or post them? Heh heh. XD
  7. Are you sick of questions yet? Well, yes and no. They are great fun to answer, but if I work on them for too long I get kind of tired of them. (Mostly because of how long it takes to add all of my links. XD) But I love your questions, guys, and I’m so glad I did this!
  8. Do you like to eat Ice cream? It depends on the flavor. I don’t dislike any kind of ice cream necessarily, it’s just that some flavors, are just – eh… okay. But certain kinds of ice/sherbet/frozen yogurt I do love to eat, yes!

There! You asked some great questions, guys. 🙂 Come back soon for more! ♥

Q & A: Part 1

q & a part 1 poster (1280x1280)

Now presenting the first part of “Q & A with Allison!” You guys asked so many fun and lovely questions that I had to divide the Q & A post into several parts! If you reach down into the far depths of your memory, you might recall that I am doing this question and answer post to celebrate the fact that I have 100 FOLLOWERS! (Oh, yay! 101 now. XD ) If you would still like to ask me questions, feel free to comment on this post, and I will add them in to a later part. I’m going to answer the questions in oldest-to-newest order.

Misty‘s Questions:

  1. Why did you start blogging? I’m pretty sure I started this blog because my sister Megan was doing one as part of her school program and it looked like fun.
  2. What is your favorite food? Just ONE favorite? I’m sorry but that’s too hard. XD I’ll tell you a few of my favorite foods: crab legs, spinach, chocolate, pretty much any and all fruit, and cheese. Especially BabyBel cheeses! The list could go on and on, but I’ll stop making you hungry. 🙂
  3. Pens or pencils? Hmmm. It depends on what I’m doing. Pencils are probably the wisest choice for math, and they are great for sketching or drawing detailed pictures, but I love how smoothly gel and ballpoint pens write. I usually use a gel pen for Latin and Science – it makes the work more fun. 🙂
  4. What’s your dream career? I’m already doing one of my dream jobs! My dream job is selling things I make, and I’m doing that right now with my Etsy shop. (I know, that was about my 1,000th link to my Etsy shop. Sorry!) It’s extremely fun to make stuff that people will actually buy and use!
  5.  Favorite ice cream flavor? I like Rocky Road and Black Raspberry (and others).
  6. Tea or coffee? I like the smell of coffee better, but the taste of tea better. (Although it depends on the flavor of the tea.)
  7. Would you rather eat gelato or ice cream? Hmm. This is a hard one! We had raspberry sherbet once (sherbet is kind of like gelato, right?) and it was delicious. So I might choose that over raspberry ice cream because the sherbet was much more flavorful and fruity.

Megan (A Barefoot Gal)‘s Questions

  1. Why do you like to eat doughnuts better than excavators? Do you mean why do I like to eat doughnuts more than I like to eat excavators? Then the answer is, “I’d much rather eat excavators than doughnuts, of course.” XD This was a (just slightly) odd question, my dear sister, so it called for a slightly odd answer. XD
  2. Would you rather meet Anne at Green Gables or Mary Lennox in her Secret Garden? I would like Anne better as a friend, and it would be amazing to go to Green Gables, but it also be neat to see Mary’s beautiful Secret Garden. (When it was in bloom, of course.) So maybe Anne in the Secret Garden?
  3. A pet unicorn or a pet pushmi-pullu? If it was a rainbow unicorn, probably a unicorn. 🙂

Christian Homeschooler‘s Questions

  1. What are your favorite board games? Umm… Monopoly, Sorry, Checkers, and Chess are pretty much the only board games that come to mind, and I like those all pretty well. When we play games as a family, we often play card games or party-game type games, but right now my siblings (even my littlest sister) are really into Chess.
  2. Do you like to listen to a lot of music? What genre? I do like music, but I don’t listen to it nearly as much as some of my siblings do. 😀 As for the genre, probably CCM. I really like TobyMac’s songs especially. We went to a TobyMac concert once and he was great!
  3. What is a unique blogging tip you have? Okay, here are two tips:
    • Make your blog format inviting – Your blog’s format makes a huge difference in the initial presentation. If the format clear, easy to get around, and pleasing to look at, readers will enjoy coming to your blog much more than if the format is confusing, hard to get around, or boring.
    • Find your style – Find your own unique style of writing and/or photography. Your style helps you shine through your blog. A blog post is also more fun to read if you add something besides, “Here are some pictures.  ***Allison***.” (Actually, that’s pretty much what I did in my first ever post! XD XD ) Tell the story behind a picture, add funny captions to it… stuff like that will make it more interesting and will draw the reader in. Sometimes, even if I’m not necessarily interested in what a post is about, I still enjoy reading it because I like the bloggers writing/photography style. 🙂
  4. What is your favorite color? Practically my whole life I have loved the color purple. 😀

CutePolarBear’s Questions

  1. Have you ever moved? I have moved once in my life, when I was one year old – and it was only to the house across our lane! XD XD I am really glad for that though – I wouldn’t want to move out of our house or off of our farm. My dad lived in the house we live in now for his whole life except for a couple years in that house across the lane.
  2. Do you play any instruments? Yes, I have been playing piano for… I think 6 years.
  3. What board games do you like to play? See Christian Homeschooler’s first question.
  4. To what music do you listen? See Christian Homeschooler’s second question. XD XD
  5. Do you follow politics at all? Yep. My dad is pretty interested in politics, and we’ve been watching the debates lately. (Although I don’t always watch the whole thing.) It’s funny but rather sad how the candidates fight it out on stage. You’ll have to wait for another part to read which candidate I like the best!
  6. What’s your favorite food that’s not dessert? Sorry about this, CutePolarBear! The first people already asked a lot of your questions. :/ 😀 See my answer to Misty’s second question – minus the chocolate part.

Whew! That was only about 1/4 of the questions! But I’m glad there are more, because that was fun. I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me.
