Hey guys, I’m back from vacation! (The beach was AMAZING, in case you were wondering. But more about that in a later post.)

This week, right after we came home from vacation, the fair is going on. I am entering dear Miss Lily (!!) and my sister Carmen is entering her bunny Diamond. I am hoping they come home with ribbons!

A Bunny Family Meal

Whew, it’s hot here! It feels kind of like summer – I’m not sure why…. ☺ Anyway, the bunnies get really hot here too, so one day we gave them a cool treat – fresh lettuce on an ice table – yum! As you can imagine, they ~~kind of~~ really enjoyed it. So now without further ado, I present A Bunny Family Meal (with commentary).

Here stands the lonely ice table, laden with fresh lettuce, but with no one to eat from it’s iciness.

Hooray! The table is gladdened by the arrival of Honeybunny, who grabs a leaf and chomps away.

The sound of Honeybunny’s enjoyment spreads throughout the cage, and draws not one, not two, but THREE other rabbits to the table to eat of the bounty.

The innocent Lily is disturbed from her meal by a greedy Mango. How rude!

But justice is restored – Miss Lily gets the last piece.

Ahhhhh! Cold lettuce – how satisfying!

Full and furry, my friend, full and furry. And thus ends A Bunny Family Meal. Thank you for reading, and come again!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

We now have another bunny on the farm! My brother Jeff bought him just yesterday. Here is his “profile.”

Gender: Buck (male) (Update: several weeks later, we found out that Olaf is actually a female! But when I first wrote this post, we didn’t know. XD )

And look at the last thing on the list – he’s a male! Since we have two female New Zealands (Lily and Mango) we are going to breed them, which means that you will probably be seeing some pictures of cute little baby bunnies! Sadly, it will probably be awhile, because we have to wait until the rabbits are older to breed them. 😦 But probably sometime next year.

And now for the pictures!

I love his beautiful, snow-white fur.

One more thing: I have several posts to do, but which do you want me to do first?

Oh – one MORE thing: should I do a profile page for all our bunnies, like with a picture, and information about them and stuff?

Miss Lily, the Model

Now that Miss Lily is my model, it’s time for her to do some modeling! (You can see the interview post here.) Miss Lily and her sister Mango (but mostly Miss Lily) are our charming models today. They are modeling two of the outfits for the American Girl Doll McKenna (Doll of the Year 2012). Now, without further ado, we present… Miss Lily and Mango! (But mostly Miss Lily.)

A Meeting with Miss Lily

* Knock, knock, knock *

“Hello, who is it?”

“It’s just me, Allison.”

“Oh, come in, come in, have a seat!”

“Thank you. I think I will.”

“Now, what brings you here?”

“Well actually, I just came to take some pictures. You really are a great model, Lily, and I thought I might take some pictures of your sisters, too. Oh, here’s Honeybunny – maybe she won’t mind.”

“Sorry about that, Honeybunny is a little shy.”

“That’s OK, I understand. But back to business. Would you mind posing for me so I can post some more pictures of you on my blog?”

“Wait, you have a blog?”

“Yep.”

“Ohhhh, that must be why you brought that strange clicking-beeping-thing here so often. It must be your camera. Am I correct?”

“You are correct. So, what do you say? Do you want to be my model?”

“I accept with pleasure, my dear mistress.”

“Great! Then let’s get started. What about a nice, quiet pose to begin with.”

“Ooh! May I see? Um, I’m afraid you’ll have to take that one over again, I had a piece of straw on my head – most undignified. Not to mention it’s a little blurry”

“Quiet right. Now, be your cutest!”

“Beautiful! I’m afraid the background isn’t the best, but it will have to do.” “Now just a few close-ups, and that will be good enough for the first session.”

“Wonderful! You are the best, Miss Lily. Thank you for your time, and I will see you again soon!”

Miss Lily Takes A Walk

And now, ladies and gentlemen, we present the one, the only, the lovely Miss Lily!

Today she is going on a walk around the premises. She will sample a few tasty greens and flowers along the way, and tell us what she thinks of them.

Grass: “Eh, 3 stars. There’s nothing special, you know? I need… flavor!”

Dandelion: “Hmm… This is very good. 5 stars. I love the burst of flavor, and the sunny yellow adds a nice touch too.”

Those are Miss Lily’s reviews folks, her genuine(ish) reviews of grass and dandelions.

Now Miss Lily will kindly share the camera with her sister Mango as they have a unique bonding experience sharing a piece of dandelion.

Guess What? (And a Poll)

I got a new bunny! I still have Honeybunny, but she is not very nice to hold or cuddle with, (sorry Honeybunny!) so I got another bunny to be a better pet. Thank you Grammy and Granddaddy for giving me the money to buy her with for my birthday!

My sister had just bought a rabbit after her rabbit Rutabaga died, :(, and I bought the sister bunny of Megan’s bunny.

Lily is a red New Zealand rabbit with caramel-colored fur and big dark eyes. She is absolutely adorable, and very sweet. She is much nicer to hold and cuddle with than Honeybunny, and her fur is very soft. Lily’s sister, Mango (Megan’s new bunny) is a lot bigger than her, even though they are sisters. This is Megan’s bunny Mango:

A Snow Post

YAY! Snow in November! And even 4 inches of snow in November! That was enough snow for a lot of fun. We went sledding, made a snowman (and not just your ordinary snowman), and just played around.

Here is the snowman we made – he is 16 feet around! (And yes, we measured.) We proclaimed him a Thanksgiving snowman because of his, well, stoutness from eating too much Thanksgiving dinner. ☺ His arms are tomato stakes, his nose is a corncob, his eyes are made from oreo halves, and his smile is some smooth stones.

I also got some neat pictures of snowflakes. I zoomed them in a bunch so you can see the shape of the snowflake better. The snowflakes are all in a clump, but I circled some interesting spots in the pictures so you can see the individual snowflakes better.
