Hello friends!

Enjoy scrolling through my year in review!

I’ll break this up into months with mini reviews for each of them, as well as a link to my favorite post I published for that month. I wanted to simplify things a bit since these posts always get incredibly long.

A few more miscellaneous happenings I didn’t want to leave out…
- My mom had a lot of heart issues and health problems this year which was pretty scary, but God graciously provided successful surgeries to heal her. ❤ Both Sully’s and my family had tons of health issues, actually – heart malfunctions, a brain tumor, pregnancy complications, cancer… lots of stuff. Praise God that for the most part they ended well or are still healing.

- Hosted + met up with friends and church family for so many good conversations. I’m especially grateful that our church family is still vibrant, faithful, and amazing at loving each other despite the period of transition we’re going through right now.
- Finished watching Gilmore Girls and learned how to play Minecraft. 🙂 Now Sully and I often play Minecraft together instead of watching shows to relax on free evenings.

Enjoyed this post, Allison! First, congratulations to your sister’s engagement!!!!! Is the wedding date set?
I was sorry to hear about your granddaddy. 😦 Praying for your family.
I’m glad that the surgeries went well for your mom. Pray she continues to do well. I remember you and I had birthdays in May. And now I learned that both our mothers’ birthdays are in December!
2023 was very hard on my family. And though my faith got really shaky at times, I find I want to draw closer to God. He did send a blessing to us. We got a check from the company that repossessed one of our vehicles. They overpaid the ones setting up the auction. Not sure why exactly we get money, but we did! It’ll hopefully pay at least 2 mortgages! Praise God!
I pray you have a Happy New Year! God bless you!

Thanks so much for your prayers. I’m grateful we’ve been able to see God’s healing hand on both my mom and Granddaddy in different ways. That’s so funny about the matching birthdays!
What a beautiful testimony of drawing near to God despite difficult circumstances. And WOW, what a huge praise that God sent the check! How amazing! Happy New Year friend!
